Also.

"As of right now the specifications are pretty much finalized some of the parts are a bit pricey at the moment so it wont be released for a while. Looking at another year to year and a half before its released but it should be announced very soon. Development kits are circulating Bend, Santa Monica, ND and Sucker Punch and Guerrilla are all hands on. The machine is 100% backwards compatible and very powerful. I have a better format but just to get it out there to you AMD Ryzen cpu custom configuration 3.20 ghz, 7nm Navi gpu 1.121 ghz 18GB RAM @880GB/s"

When he leaked the Pro he speculated it was 2016 to 2017.

The specs are all finalised meaning so is the APU. It's 2019.

He is saying it is 7nm.............no it isn't. He actually makes sense because he is saying that the compoents are too expensive and they need the manufacturing costs to go down.

None of the 7nm silicon will be manufactured during the first half of 2019.

Navi is Q2 2019 according to the CEO. 7nm will be mainstream in 2019.

If the leaks are true 80 percent of the Navi team are working on a custom Sony solution while only 20 are on the PC side.

Also a lot of specs and stuff are often leaked by technically incompetent people even if they are insiders.

His soon announcement correspondents perfectly with a March 2019 announcement, which is how PS4 was announced. Such an announcement makes sense only if the launch is 2019.

Spring 2020.  :reg:

And Aza... link to the fucking info.  Right now, you're making excuses for the insiders apparent "lack of understanding"... you're not showing us where it's said that "that 18GB is for dev use"... even if that does make sense.

24GB of RAM isn't going to be cheap.

I think the 18gigs of usable Ram is true, but the 880gbps bandwidth will be debunked as technically incompetent insider sources.

Edit: Apparently they might just have added the bandwidth of two memory pools to get the 880gbps number. Like  256 + 624.

2 memory pools? :mjpls:

The 880gbps bandwidth is borderline impossible to achieve then. If its 18 gigs of usable Ram for games, how much is for the OS and from what pool. Also note he says Gddr5 is used not GDDR6.

Anyways he said that a more controlled and accurate leak is on the way.

Where do I note that he said GDDR5?  You didn't link anything or mention that.... not that it changes anything... except actually lowering the memory bandwidth..

It's all bullshit.

Yes, we know it's using Ryzen... yes we know it's using Navi... everything else said is just guesswork that ANY of us could do.  He's really "revealed" nothing at all.

Well it is all speculation, give it 1-2 more months. I'm sure Digital Foundry will pick it up with more concrete info.

Also he said its Gddr5 in other posts, I skipped. Maybe it's impossible to shove an adequate amount of Ram into the system with current GDDR6 pricing. So they have to go with a funky gddr5 solution, ram costs a lot now. This is an objective fact.

Anyways March 2019 is going to be the ultimate moment of truth.

PS4 spec leaks 1 month before announcement, all based on old info.

4 cores 3.2 ghz

They got the 1.84tflop GPU right

2 gigs Ram aiming for 4 gigs

It's not like insiders have there hands on the latest specs and changes.

If it's coming 2019 as you say... the specs would be well known by this point.

And that wasn't a leak... that would have been a RUMOR....  Leaks refer to known information that's more often than not correct.
