EDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nintendo Switch set two new records from Thanksgiving to Cyber Monday: It became the best-selling Nintendo console in U.S. history for that five-day period, surpassing even Wii system sales. Nintendo Switch also had its best-selling week ever in the United States. In fact, according to Adobe Analytics, Nintendo Switch was among the most-purchased items online on Thanksgiving Day and the overall top-selling video game product online for the Black Friday-Cyber Monday time period.

No one should ever doubt Nintendo's mass appeal again :aitch:

NPD Nov 2018 will be a close race between PS4 and Switch. PS4 seems to drop the ball again with stock this year(insiders already hinting it might be down YOY). Switch by all accounts is looking to double their number from Nov last year.

NPD Dec 2018 will be a monster month for Switch, obliterating both the PS4 and Xbox.

Meanwhile Japan is a bloodbath as always, with Switch dominating more than 70% of the market. And 70% is probably being generous

With how well PS4 is doing, it is crazy how Nintendo manage to dominate like this

:whew:

PS4 will edge out a win in Nov NPD, the Spiderman bundle did crazy numbers.  Switch and PS4 should be neck and neck for this month.

But back to Switch's insane Thanksgiving week.

November Week 1: +75K / LTD +7.455M
November Week 2: +150K / LTD +7.605M (Pokemon)
November Week 3: +600K / LTD +8.205M (Black Friday week)
November Week 4 (2 days): ~50K / LTD +8.255M (Cyber Monday)

that's off, wasaay off.   See my Wii numbers below and see Benji's Quotes.

Something isn't accurate here

Because Switch was up significantly YoY every week of the month. With BF having this sort of growth the estimates people are putting up are essentially impossible. Its higher than that

if Switch had 115% growth YoY BF week it's doing way more than the 900k that's being thrown around in this thread

It's not way off at all. The last week only counts 2 days.

Wii did 800K for Black Friday week.

Switch beat that.

Your numbers only has  Switch slightly over 600K for black Friday week.

Then for CM, this is what Benji has to say:

Good day for Switch and Xbox

Less so for PS4

Tough to say tbh. Declaring the top selling hardware this time of year is difficult as different places see different results.

Switch outsold the PS4 the entire month outside of BF week. Ir appears PS4 edged it still on BF week itself though even with Switchs huge result

I THINK PS4 still takes the month, but by a pretty narrow margin

November will be closer than most people think, especially between Switch and PS4.
