A locked thread on a next gen console will be a much smaller hit to performance than what it was to Jaguar CPUs in the current gen consoles...  There's still TONS more CPU to work with there.. and the

That 10 year contract nVidia setup with Nintendo is looking better and better.

 

Release a new Switch Dock sometime in 2021 that easily matches the other consoles, and then release a new Switch 2 that can deliver insane graphics for a handheld on the go.

I'm just fucking with you.  As long as you have 8 cores you should be alright for a while.  8 cores 16 threads would be preferable though.
