GeorgeW1000 118
Hello, I'm sure everyone here is an adult gamer... We grew up on SW and became old, and some of us still play videogames. What do you do to avoid peterpanism? It's a symptom of being adult children. I like toys, games and anime, but I don't consider myself an adult child. I became separated from my family when I joined the military and I am independent... even if I still like childish hobbies. I'm especially concerned about the sheep on this site because Nintendo is specifically aimed at children, and have an army of Adult children who fanboy around the console. What ways to you avoid peterpanism? What ways do you sheep fight the adult child stereotype?

They play zelda after zelda trying to relive their childhood. It's all the same formula. It's sad.
HolyAx 297
Nintendo is a virtual toy company, exactly the same as any other video game company - Sony, MS etc. It doesnt matter what age rating label a game gets, its still a virtual toy no matter how you look at it. Politicians, the media and e-thots play with toys too, but those toys are people. Everyone just like to play.
HolyAx 297
I would say peterpan syndrome is extremely common today because of too much entertainment in the last decades. You can get a dopamine hit in a matter of seconds from a simple click.
