Troy Aikman has said before that they should go back to something like thin leather helmets and no face protection, and head injuries would go down. I believe that. Nope, post retirement brain trauma is a massive issue across rugby codes and those athletes spend a lifetimes building up knowledge of self protection and technique for padless contact.
