Gamepass at 25 million subscribers, Activision games to be available at the deal’s close (UP: Jerry meltdown)

Recommended Posts

Upon close, we will offer as many Activision Blizzard games as we can within Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass, both new titles and games from Activision Blizzard’s incredible catalog. We also announced today that Game Pass now has more than 25 million subscribers. As always, we look forward to continuing to add more value and more great games to Game Pass.

a bit down from the 30 million speculated, but solid none the less. With this news, it’s only bound to go up. interested to see when the deal closes.

Oh no, bro............they claimed it ONLY in September.   So........that's ............uh...............well.........uh, I forget what lemmings where going with arguing that point, exactly.

Yeah, ghost aka Rent-a-Center really lost his shit, hard.

LOL remember Phil Spencer announced another ONE DOLLAH promotion to get Game Pass for 3 months, and they even opened that back up to people who have used the promotion before.

So that he could pad up the numbers when everybody found out that they only had around 21 million subscribers.

That, and the Halo launch. And they could only get the numbers to "explode" to 25 million in Q4 2021.:drake:

This purchase is "Panic PR move #2"

Didn't lemmings say GP was over 30 million months upon months ago?

Yup. Its almost as if Phil Spencer wanted to slip this news through, and then do a distract by saying "HEY WE GOT ACTIVISION!!!!" immediately afterwards.

Remember, about 2-3 months ago, Phil Spencer announced another round of $1 promo period for GamePass to coincide with the Halo launch. And that $1 promo was applicable to previous subscribers who had already previous promo periods before.

So this 25 million number is WITH promo subscribers AND its also people who would've signed up for the Halo launch. They were estimated to be anywhere between 20-21 million like back in September when their stockholders report revealed the actual truth.

LOL Phil spencer needs to go back to offering ONE DOLLAH for 3 months promotion just a couple of months ago, in order to pad those numbers.

They're not making $375 million in revenue per month.:drake:

And I liked how you used revenue and not profit.

GamePass is fixing to have a catalog of old Activision and Bethesda games that it will remind you of when Redbox was offering video games.

It’s almost as it this wasn’t addressed in the OP, lol.

Oh, so lemmings were wrong about their 30 million prediction that they were giving OVER SIX MONTHS AGO.

Turns out Microsoft only had roughly 20-21 million at that time.

And 6-7 months after that, after Forza 5 and Halo launches............they only grew to 25 million, and that's including Phil Spencer re-introducing $1 promo subscriptions for all previous subscribers.

Damn, they're struggling to lift those subscription numbers.

Alot of those are $1 promo subscribers.

Alot of those are people who loaded up on XBL Gold memberships and then spent ONE DOLLAR to convert them over to GamePass ultimate subscriptions. So, the actual dollar value for those is $5/month, and that's assuming they paid the full $60/year for XBL Gold, bought three years for $180, and then converted that over to GamePass Ultimate.

Some of those people ended up buying discounted XBL Gold subscriptions from Latin America countries, and so they've actually ended up paying roughly $3.50/month.

And then there's PC gamers. Who don't need XBL Gold online service. And if they own any Xbox hardware, then there's reason for them to sign up for anything other than the base PC GamePass, which is $5/month.

So, the people whom YOU BELIEVE are paying the full $15/month for GamePass ultimate is far, far smaller than what you think it is.

So you use GP’s price to try to own people, here you admit people are getting it for Much cheaper.

which one do you think most people on this site fall under?

because your whole “bu bu expensive” argument just went out the window :banderoos:

No...........go read Vini's post that I responded to.

He tried to use the $15 price to make an argument that Microsoft was making huge amounts of money, as a way of saying that Microsoft is going to win and Sony is going to somehow give up and submit to Microsoft.

He was making a REVENUE argument, stupid.:drake:

Who cares what MS is making, youre now saying Gamepass users aren’t paying anywhere near $15 a month, which is what we’ve been telling you for years.
