Their strategy did work though. They were able to get almost everyone vaccinated so even though Covid is blowing up over there the death rate is miniscule compared to most other countries.

If it worked why continue to lock down with such a high vaccination rate? If the vaccine did what it was supposed to then they should have no problem opening back up right? Maybe allow a famous tennis player to play tennis? Just a thought.  Oh yeah Israel, the country doing 4th shots is number 2 for most cases per capita.

You keep crowing about vaccine effectiveness but like is your alternative to do nothing? How does that shake out? 

 

Vaccinated people reduce transmission and lessens the affects of covid. It's not perfect but it is what we can do. People with less severe symptoms means less time in hospitals and less resources to treat them.

 

There is a spike among vaccinated people because many returned to pre lockdown behavior. Nyc takes covid seriously but you'll see many unmasked people in public places now and uncertainty in current mandates you see less workers bring it peoples attention.
