MS will soon start marketing demos exclusive to GP that regular Xbox owners can't play... Subscribe to play this demo today... And lemmings will celebrate It's meant to add value to GamePass dumbass... not only for gamers, but for the developers too.. because they can test if their games would be popular on Gamepass without putting their entire game on there... Again... you're going to try to act like demo's are the only thing people would be paying for with a GP subscription

Remember when game demos were locked behind $10 magazine purchases? Forget about the hundreds of free games, and all first party games you get with the service As he runs off to play his Switch Online NES games with Nintendo's $60 NES controllers Edited June 14, 2022 by Remij

They could release the demos through the gamepass portal AND the MS store, freely to anyone... and they can tell how many people downloaded and played it through gamepass, and how many downloaded it just from the store. Nothing is stopping developers from releasing free demos on the MS Store... thus MS isn't forcing a paywall. Edited June 14, 2022 by Remij
madmaltese★ 2,650
LMAO a week ago this feature was laughed at when Sony announced it and now its amazing
jehurey 3,299
You know what's going to be even funnier is when you start seeing the number of new, fully-playable, games arriving on GamePass.........start dropping in number. ...because they consider demos as "new content" for GamePass owners. That's GamePass subscriber money. Which means if they are redirecting GamePass subscriber money to demos, that's going to be less money for the shitty indie games that make up 40% of the GamePass library that you would never play........or them bringing Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition a third time around to the service or whatever 18 month old Capcom game that you probably already bought. I can also see this setting the groundwork for tiered GamePass subs.
