Activision says putting their games on Xbox Game Pass or other subscription services would "lead to brand dilution & cannibalization of sales" (TLHBFR)

I'm not saying his logic is wrong :cosby2:

Of course you have to pay more for exclusivity if you have a smaller market share.

My entire point is that MS has maintained the same stance.... which adds to their argument that it's not essential.  If MS had continued and paid an exuberant amount of money to keep the deal... Sony could point to that and say look... see how important COD is to the platform...

Can you understand that?

COD isn't "essential" but they are spending $69 billion to acquire it and other games for GP?

Make this make sense. I'm not following your logic.

No one with an ounce of brain matter believes MS is paying all this money for Candy Crush and Overwatch 2 alone. It's painfully obvious that a big part of the reason they want ABK is for COD to be in GamePass on day one. This "COD isn't essential to the industry" bullshit they are saying is for the regulators and even the regulators aren't buying it hence the huge resistance we are seeing to the deal going through from the FTC and CMA.

Oh by the way, the document makes it perfectly clear   Microsoft cancelled the Activision Call of Duty Exclusive DLC marketing deal back in 2015.   No more of this "Sony moneyhatte

He tries so hard to hide his anger that he has to pre-type a laughing smiley.   He's about as obvious at putting up a front as Phil Spencer.

Because that's what Sony is crying about.  MS is even offering the game on their console for the next 10 years guaranteed.. :hest:

This deal isn't about taking COD away from PS babies

Nope, that's not going to work, sweetie.

The regulators are going to want to know why they're paying $70 billion in the first place.

They would've zero'd in on Call of Duty, no matter what.

They do know why.  And it's quite clearly not to make COD exclusive :drake:

LMAO this idiot is arguing that regulators job should be ensuring that Sony doesn't get hurt by MS buying COD

The regulators are not responsible for looking at other market conditions.

They are just looking at the this deal.

Once again............you gonna have a HARD TIME trying to convince us why a $70 billion dollar deal isn't something worth noticing.:drake:

It's not the only focus of the deal dummy...  It is to Sony... because that's the part of the deal that mostly affects them... and the ONE thing they can actually make a case against..

And LOL nobody said COD wasn't important... jesus fucking christ you guys are complete clowns. :tom:

Nope, the fact that Phil Spencer already started offering "x amount of years".........."ok we increase it to x amount of years."

Is clearly a sign that Microsoft is aware that Call of Duty exclsuivity is a valuable thing in the future.

The regulators are here to determine competitiveness in the market TODAY........................AND.................in the future, sweetheart.

In fact, Phil Spencers immediate negotiating regarding Call of Duty might have brought more attention to it for regulators.

I can't believe he typed that and actually believes it. No one with an ounce of common sense believes Microsoft's bullshit.

Everyone and their grandma can see exactly what MS is doing and it's the reason why the top news in the industry right now centers around this deal and what it means for COD's exclusivity. It's the meat and potatoes of the deal. What happens to COD after this deal goes through is what will make or break this deal.

Sony doesn't give two shits about Candy Crush and neither does MS. Candy Crush doesn't give them any leverage in their fight with Apple or Google. Apple and Google will still completely crush them in the mobile space regardless of whether they get Candy Crush or not. This deal is almost exclusively for COD and the affect COD will have on their subscription service in the console space.

But Microsoft just make it very clear that Call of Duty was responsible for Playstation being immensely successful.

Activision just corroboted yet.

And they can clearly see that Xbox was hurt by it..............therefore ALSO CORROBORATING that theory.

And ONCE AGAIN..................they clearly see Microsoft willing to pay $70 billion dollars for it years after they turned Activision away.

I love how your entire argument hinges on you pretending to play stupid.:drake:

No shit it has value :drake:

Sony competed back then when MS had that COD value........ and they grew into what they are today.....

Explain that sweetie :danylol:

You just proved that Microsoft controlling and potentially pulling COD away from Playstation would greatly affect Playstation.

IT IS SUPPOSED TO AFFECT PLAYSTATION YOU FUCKING IDIOT :drake:

It's not regulators jobs to ensure that nobody can do anything that affects playstation negatively... THAT would be anti competitive.... :drake:

It's to ensure that they can still compete...... and Sony did back then... and MS has now :drake:

No they didn't make that clear.

Because since Phil Spencer has already negotiated X amount of years for Call of Duty.............he's clearly saying that HE WILL MAKE IT EXCLUSIVE at the first opportunity that he can.

In other words...........he's trying to make a concession and offer something that regulators would've determined and forced Microsoft to do.

In other words, Phil Spencer is making is clear that the deal would require government regulation to begin with the moment he immediately tried to offer this.

Which contradicts your entire narrative.

You're basically trying to talk out of both sides of your mouth, like Phil.

He has nothing to fight back against the facts I just typed so his turning to childish insults.

:hest: Notice how I didn't need to resort to insulting you directly to get my point across that you're a retard?

Your arguments are stupid and childish. Believing every word that comes out of a trillion dollar corporation's mouth even though their actions say otherwise. No one but brain dead lemmings like you believes a word that comes out of Phil's mouth. Not even Phil believes the horse shit coming out of his mouth. It's the reason why the FTC and all major regulators are either moving to sue MS for the deal or their putting the deal under further scrutiny. You can keep burying your head in Phil's asshole and eating whatever bullshit he spews but no one is believing MS when they say COD isn't essential especially when they just dropped $69 Billion to take it away from the Playstation platform.

yeah, it is their job.

because its not about Playstation...............its about Playstation consumers.

which make up a huge bulk of the consumers in the video game market.

I love how all I have to do.............is point out the SMAAAAAAAAAAALL detail that you keep leaving out.

You're so obvious. Its so obvious what your tactic is, I can easily pop that balloon.:tom:
