MS just makes the OS, they don’t own the PC platform which is a completely open platform.

 

PC gaming isn’t a Microsoft platform. It’s completely dominated by Steam and the Microsoft store is a joke with a very tiny footprint in the PC gaming space. They are completely irrelevant when it comes to retail in the PC gaming market.

by your logic, Microsoft is coded in C++, therefore C++ is the real gaming platform.

 

and therefore the underlying code that runs the PS5 and Switch OS is the "gaming platform"

 

That means Switch is actually an ANDROID gaming platform.

Then "Android" is the gaming platform, simply because you are talking about an underlying OS layer.

 

Except the Switch is not an Android gaming platform.

 

The gaming platform is the application client that DELIVERS the games to you.

 

Steam is the gaming client.

 

WindowsOS is not a gaming client............you have to buy Microsoft games through the Microsoft store.

 

LinuxOS is literally nothing...........unless Steam is able to put its client on there so that you can actually find and play games to play on Linux.

It is an nintendo device that uses android drivers. Luckily (for us all), it doesn’t rely on Android games and has exclusive, Nintendo made games. :umad:
