Clock speeds and bloated development software, and the actual discrete GPU's will still hold a frequency advantage.

Fact is you're getting a 3070 - 3070 Ti level GPU in that console, which as stated is a 4 year outdated upper mid-range GPU.

 

Still good, but relatively speaking to current computation it's garbage. The 4090 is 125% more powerful in gaming applications and that's on the verge of being replaced.

Frequency isn't everything, it is important but ditching XDK for GDK was a mistake. Games were performing excellently before they uprooted their whole development suite.

XDK is what Microsoft provided to developers for software development, right before the generation ended and the new consoles came out they switched to their more hardware agnostic GDK for development, and it's been a mess ever since.

 

It's great for getting games up and running on PC more easily which was the point, but it came with sacrifices for a refined product on their console. 

 

3070 level console, that's what it is. Same shitty CPU, same shitty memory capacity, and a 4 year old upper mid-range GPU.
