however, the top image looks photoshopped like the bottom one, since the guy is focused (only static images will maintain clarity at those camera settings).

No not photoshop, and I fugured it was something related to long exposure but the girl who took the pics doesnt strike me as someone who knows that much about cameras to know how to do it, so maybe the camera she uses has a feature to automatically do it for you?

Definitely want that glove

No its not photoshop :|

You telling me Picasso had photoshop before everyone else so he could do it to his images as well?

Yes this is what the figure usually would look like in those long exposure shots:

But it IS possible to get a clear image of the person in his last move ALONG with the light, that's what Im curious to know how.

No clue. I haven't dabbled with photography in like 2 years, back when I had to create a fake time-lapse with a bunch of stills, that required a similar streaky effect (downtown Miami street traffic/buildings). I used an older camera/lens...so I'm sure the new ones have all kinds of presets.

The only way you can possibly get a crazy image like that, with a body in focus, is to do the full streak motion extremely fast and then stay still for the duration of the shot. Sometimes, you won't see the ghosting of the body.

It's light painting. The person is using a high power flash along with long exposure time and curtain syncing to create the effects. Because the flash lit the people well they are in focus and with a slow enough shutter, the person can move quickly and barely and visual of then in motion will show up with a rear curtain sync. With this new idea I have I am going to revolutionize this style of photo taking from something that's currently shallow (let's be honest, nothing much to look at in these photos then " oooo look pretty lights") to something deep that will make viewers think and reflect :glad:

Repeating the same shallow process over and over 500 times didn't work for your last project. It won't this time, either.
