Yea, apparently it's still pretty challenging, but you as a player have far more options with how to deal with enemies now. It seems they've done a lot of work to balance out the different classes and move-sets so that many different playstyles are viable now. That's a great change for accessibility for newcomers.. as well as that more upfront story and quest dialog from NPCs. It makes the story more approachable and understandably by people who don't want to have to analyze and read into every detail of every item in the game to build the story. I'm hopeful that they make it scarier/darker, and add more puzzle/exploration elements to the game that are more intricate. I'm also hopeful that through the act of remaking the game, they naturally improve the environments so that they are less "copy/paste" and more varied in their structure. I'm referring to things like the castle, which uses a lot of the same textures and geometry design for many rooms, one after the other. More variety inside each of the distinct environments would be a huge plus to me.. because I like the environmental themes of the original.. they just need to be more -

Could be.. but then someone today say Street Fighter 6... and now I'm like damn, I forgot all about that. I think it might be that. There's also the Switch RE game too though, lol. -
It's crazy, that shot Jehurey posted is just a CLEAR NIGHT AND DAY GENERATION LEAP over the previous Horizon game. On every level it's huge. As a cross-gen game it's very VERY impressive. It sounds like some of the tech issues/bugs people faced is ultimately what kept this game from reaching the 90 meta.. not that it really changes anything, but it would have been nice if it was a bit more polished for launch. That's probably the fault of the PS4 versions to be honest. All that extra effort to release the game on those platforms and it put a bit too much pressure on the team to

Yep, that's insane. That's what you get when you use the same lighting rigs in gameplay as you do in cutscenes. I'm just watching the DF video right now, and it's simply stunning. I do think Performance mode looks a little too low res though... it's essentially 1/2 the resolution of 1800p.. I can understand why some reviewers thought it was 1080p. But Resolution mode looks glorious.

Reviewer on ERA I scored it a 7.5 but I actually absolutely loved it. Put close to 100 hours into it. Just too many technical issues and some gameplay stuff that felt off. In my heart, it's a solid 9 though if all those issues didn't exist. Damn, so it sounds like there's some bugs and tech issues that bring down the experience... that's a shame.
