because MS wants them to, just like existing cod games and any game future game covered under Sonys “contract”. once said contract is over, it’s either time for Sony to have gamepass or no new cod.

This is intentionally vague. He’s saying he’s keeping COD on PlayStation, as in the existing games. They won’t be removing games. but they also won’t be making any new ones.
