  1.

AFAIK it's the social hooks that has GD wanting more lol.

I know but there really aren't many games that does that, at least none that are on the level of quality of the Persona games so he might as well play the main series in the meantime.

Closest game i can think of

It's such a persona ripoff it's almost copyright infringement.

hey dilli, you think p2 is worth $30? once i finish 3, i know i'll be jonzing for more.

    Nooooo lol. Stay far away.

P1 and P2 are so different from P3 and P4 that to you, you'll find everything you like about P3 and P4 to not be present in P2. And if you found P3P's dated interface and presentation jarring, P2 is even worse.

After you finish P3 i'd recommend you just wait for P5 which is confirmed to be in development.

ah ok. thanks. i just beat that tank spirit (i'm in august). any other jrpgs that are similar to persona 3/4?

There's quite a few jrpgs i can think of that are quirky and you may enjoy for it's rather unorthodox level of gameplay. As for game that play like P3 or P4? I can think of a few half-rate clones. But they're not worth your time. I'd say you should give Catherine a try. Same developer, it's for PS3, involves a story of a guy caught inbetween 2 girls, and you might find it's gameplay more to your liking. And there's cat fights. :tard:

  4. It's confirmed to be in development, Atlus just hasn't announced it...yet.

P3 for the PS2 presentation wise was just like P4, less restricted through menus and offered up free movement around everywhere. With the less disk space available for the PSP Atlus cut that part out and made it more visual novel esque for the PSP version. Atlus didn't have that problem for the Vita since a card can fit the same about what a PS2 DVD can. I've played and completed both and while i kinda miss the 3D exploration, the amount of gameplay improvements the PSP version offers otherwise makes the PS2 version unplayable.

  5. Once you're finished you should look for the Persona 4 hiimdaisy comic cartoon on youtube. It's an amazingly well done fan video that recaps the entire game through comic strips while poking fun at the logic of the game.

Just don't watch it now because it spoils the entire game. I remember when giantbomb were doing their endurance run for P4 a fan posted it and jeff got pissed off because it spoils the ending right in the first minute of the video.

  6. I just finished the lab dungeon in p4. I really hope the devs didn't expect people to be surprised by the "twist" .... Still...the game is owning hard!!!

    lmfao

I think someone like you could easier see it coming. After seeing it in a lot of jrpgs, you kinda just accept it, where as you look at Naoto and you say something is definitely wrong here...

Still, damn dude you're almost done. You're like 70-80% done And Persona 4 is a fucking long game.

Enjoy the home stretch. It ties everything up really well.

Who do you think is the serial killer? :wonder:

  7. Please tell me the videogame dungeon isn't the last one. I will go through withdrawal lol.

There's at least 2 more dungeons that i can remember.  What month are you on? Around December or January something will happen that will force you to make several choices after another. This will take the game in 3 directions, bad route, normal route, true route. IMO i'd say to look up what decisions to make to get the true route. I fucked up and it took my game to the bad path because i decided to.... kill... someone.

But yeah the Void Quest dungeon is by far my favorite :fblike:

  8. Weird to see GD play P4. :ben:

But yeah the game is AMAZING.  P4 has that kinda universal appeal i've noticed where even people who don't like jrpgs appreciate the game's overwhelming amounts of charm and quality. It's in the leagues of games like FFVII and Chrono Trigger

The game is pretty long, but the game stays fresh and interesting for the entire game.

My favorite are the retro themed dungeon and the strip club dungeon (the music in this dungeon is boss)
