i'm glad to see fc5 get a lot of love.  i really dug it, despite its imperfections.

it's stillhanging on to that no.1 selling game of 2018 so far. Going to be interesting where it ends up after the big releases left come out. I assume it will defs be behind COD and RDR2, possibly even Spiderman and then we shall see regarding BFV and Fallout.

@DynamiteCop is forever wrong... my goodness.... every single month :mickeyj:

Bbbut teh decline.... Switch fell off a cliff :grimaceleft:

All this means is it sold more this month than your pre-release figures suggested.

We already know all the 2017 figures for every single month it was on sale, we also knew all the figures for this year up through July which means the only way it could be leading for this year is if the August leaked numbers were wrong.

It's still selling behind 2017 regardless, even if it was 1 unit ahead of YTD August 2017 that doesn't mean it's selling better, it's had two additional months this year which your brain has problems comprehending.

He retard.  NPD said highest YTD... as in YEAR TO DATE.   Meaning 2018 so far has been higher than 2017 YTD..

If they had said YOY it would be a comparison of August 17 to August 18 alone ...YTD means 2018 so far has been ahead of 2017.

As far as the leaks go, the ratios were the correct.

The actual leaked numbers (that came after) were lower than the actual official release.

You have reading comprehension issues.

I'm talking about both years YTD through August. The Switch could be 100,000 ahead of 2017 YTD through August, that doesn't actually mean it's ahead, it would still be behind because of the amount of sales months.

What were August's actual numbers?

Your brain can't wrap around Launch month of March 2017 sold enough to cover Jan 2017 and Feb 2017.

Even with a new system launch advantage in  2017 (launch period sales are higher than regular months).... 2018 is ahead.

It sold enough in March to cover January and February by regular margins, then what happened? Oh it hit major stock issues for months. What did it sell this August?

@Goukosan So what did it sell in August?

Bro.. I saw the question.

Its obvious it sold more because last month they weren't saying it's the highest since YTD since 2011.

It was already ahead of 2017 prior to August but not highest YTD.  Waiting for confirmation of the actual figures.

Alert me when they surface, because the margin was small even with the leaked figures.

How many months has Deeno been trying to argue Deeno Math™ to excuse the fact that Switch is beating xbone's ass?

Look at the cows, Deeno: when Switch beats them in the NPD, none of them cry about it.  That's because they're not insecure about their console of choice. :rawf:
