Lesson in percentages.

They do not work the same way going down as they do up. The X having a 100% increase in resolution does not mean the Pro has a 100% decrease.

A 100% decrease equals 0.

Eg, 100 is 100% increase on 50. However 50 is a 50% decrease on 100.

Congratulations, you can now graduate primary school mathematics :)

100% increase in salt is more like it :tom:

"Maybe if we sell the console at $100+ off with the game... people will buy it"

People were going to buy them regardless, this is the biggest release of the generation both critically and commercially. That's the only way they can counter Sony's marketing for it because they can't advertise it, however they can advertise "$100 off with the purchase of Red Dead Redemption 2."

They're gearing up for the holidays anyway, this is just preemptive sale for the inevitable.

But anyways, back on topic. Given the budget of this game, given it's development time and that Rockstar said that nearly their entire team (of near 1000) was working on it lately, just how successful does this need to be for it to actually be considered a success commercially. Obviously FIFA is a giant in the UK but selling less than a yearly update with a fraction the budget isn't great. They can obviously afford it (RDR2 could sell zero and theyd be fine thanks to GTA) but still.

Yes... as I said.. it's a "please notice me too" type of marketing.

They just want more consoles out there to sell game pass to
