Stop. Just stop. Scale what exactly the majority of  people who use it will be lucky to play at 1080p with no input lag.

:snoop:

To scale the performance of the games....

You need to learn how to separate the game's performance from the streaming performance...  There's 2 sides to the equation.  If Sony and MS release 14TF consoles and developers target that as a base spec..with a much higher performance CPU, then in 3 or so years... if Google requires it... to get the latest and greatest games.. they can scale up their hardware.  They can scale it up if a hypothetical PS5 Pro or X2X releaser....

Yes, the stream quality is important... but it's crucial to have the instance itself be as performant as possible to reduce even further the input lag of games.  If AC:O was running at 60fps in the server instead of 30fps.. then there would be less perceptible lag.  They'll ideally want their games to be running at 60fps on the hardware, and streaming at 60fps.. or if necessary 30.

New from AMD's database, new chips. Works out to 13.8tflops. from a respectable leaker. Just interesting info. Question. Is how much do they downscale this.

We're talking about streaming AAA games on mobile devices.

Imagine how long that would take to do the traditional way, having a handheld device that could truly handle it.  If Nintendo and nVidia were serious about it, and poured in the resources, they could probably have a pretty badass handheld sometime in 2021.

And battery-life may be a nightmare.

If I'm playing a AAA  humongous open-world game on my smartphone, I have no problem with settling for 1080p streaming.

If anything, this actually gives me a legitimate reason for trying to get a 5G smartphone in the future, because the whole point of 5G is to help achieve lower-latency.

BAM. Galaxy Note 10, beeyotch.
