Halo's time is over, the major talking point for this one is obviously going to be the visuals, but even that discussion will quickly dissipate into nothing (much like the the game's multiplayer audience). It had problems but they were not consistent and not everyone had them. It released in a poor state but it wasn't unplayable, especially as far as single player was concerned. That's like saying the FF7R isn't going to be anything special because the last few FF games have been forgettable and underwhelming... Halo, much like FF... has the ability to be incredible.. Yea, they fucked up with Halo 5... The draw IS and always has been Master Chief and Cortana. What boggles my mind is that people can see what's been shown and revealed from the game so far... and yet not be excited. They've OBVIOUSLY learned their lesson with regards to the Chief being the important central figure... and then there's the art style which instantly brings back feelings from the original 3 games. The quality of the cinematic shown for Halo Infinite is way up there. I already care more about a nameless NPC than I have most NPCs in a Halo game in less than 6 minutes.. with no context.. Once a huge open level with incredible visual fidelity is in front people and they're cruising around blasting enemies on their warthog and that Halo music kicks in...alongside the launch of a brand new console, It's going to feel like 2001 again.
