I thought this was some sketch on a comedy show. He actually thinks it’s a legit banger  the fucking hand movements

Metal!!! https://www.bandlab.com/posts/7ed45cbe-ae6f-ea11-a94c-0003ffd19c0f   Lol these samples are fucking sick

Wow! That’s a pretty amazing free app. It definitely gives GarageBand a run for its money. And I love that there’s a step sequencer. I tend to draw in my melodies and baselines.

i'm digging this hip hop/trap track. it's structured for vocals. the bandlab app has some issues with latency and modulation, but i did the best i can to get midi patterns to line up. i used a loop slicer for the drums, to create my own pattens, instead of using their drum machines (again, strange latency issues).

anyhow, for a free app, it's pretty dope, as long as you are fine with the limitations.

Really like that! Super chill. We should collaborate on one. We’ll keep it in the chill/ambient genre

Good stuff man. Using loops? Or are you creating your own notes/patterns?

GD, I'm a talented composer/producer type with little technical know how. I've used fruity loops and it's good for beats but the I find the quality of the voices are absolute shit and most of the time I try to bust out notes they are more like different pitches of the same note rather than different notes if that makes any sense. I hear new songs in my head constantly and I just usually play them on my keyboard and record on my cell phone so I don't forget them. I have so many original songs I'd like to do up properly Hans Zimmer/Junkie XL or Dre style.  Like if I was born in the 1800's I'd want to be a composer with an orchestra.

I don't like using loops I like creating original music and beats.

I have no idea where to start.

What programs should I use?

Something like this is a good example of the direction I want to move in.  All these fruity loop beats sound like binky bonky shit to me.

Or hip hop beats like this I could sell on soundcloud
