jehurey 3,241
Thanks for the tip, but I ended up buying the 2019 Denon AV Receiver, and I don't know if its in the same boat. Buying an AV receiver during the summer was not a good call, prices just never went down. The 2019 receivers were still selling as full MSRP, and Denon's 2020 lineup was late, and barely trickled into stores until after September. I should've waited. However, another fix is that I can't really play Cyberpunk at anything past 60fps (because I want ray-tracing and 4K through DLSS). Maybe sometimes it gets up to 65-67 fps in spots, but that's negligible. So, in Windows 10, I simply changed the Display Adapter properties from 120Hz to 60Hz because that's all I'll be needing for the game, and I capped the game at 60. And that easily allowed there to be sufficient bandwidth to not have any audio lag anymore. The ideal setup is still a direct connection to the AVR. The audio in this game has surprised me. Maybe not the automobile audio, and I'd even say that they simply failed to create outdoor city audio. Its too quiet. But they absolutely nailed what it sounds like to walk into sleazy clubs, and especially when walking in the backrooms of places with loud music. The audio mixing is fantastic. I have only ever seen it show "Atmos" with the Dolby Symbol to the left of it.
