Meaning that you were directed to someplace that is not affialiated with CNN.

 

So..............you attempted to use this to try and discredit CNN.

There is no lying or misrepresentation here. CNN has been guilty of downplaying China's human rights abuses before and they finally said fuck it and are taking it a step further by officially (instead of unofficially) being the CCP's mouthpiece. I guess they need all the money they can get, given that their ratings are in the gutter.

Ads are not controlled by CNN editorial team, and are likely handled by an online company, probably Google Ads.

 

And the ad buyer specifically wants to have ads purchased on websites that are news-related.
