Former President Donald Trump says he would "very seriously consider" pardons for January 6 defendants where he to run for office again and be re-elected. He says they are being "treated worse than terrorists and murderers, despite most being charged with parading through the Capitol."

Some of the charges are completely unreasonable and excessive. The guy who put his feet on Pelosi's desk is facing decades in prison even though he didn't participate in any of the violent acts. But to the thread topic, not surprised.   The republican senators who helped plan Jan 6th asked for Pardons.
