I played them a bit. Cool art style but not my type of games at all. 

 

Never imagined they sold this much though. It also explain why I got the first one for free on steam.

I bought the first one and just didn't put the time aside to play. I will put some time into this weekend, but insane it sold as much as it did. Did not expect that.

The games go on sale a lot. Usually for as cheap as 5 bucks for the first and like 10 bucks for the sequel. That's prime "impulse buy" territory.

 

Most people won't bother with these games at full price, but a good sale is a lot easier to get people to bite. It seems like every other month they are part of a PSN or Steam sale as well. So the high sales don't actually surprise me that much. They probably make a killing during these sales.
