:cruise: I'm talking about their future plans idiot, not their current plan right now. It's too late to reverse course on releasing GAAS games day and date to PC but it's definitely not too late to rethink the rollout of a PC launcher plans or PSN integration.

:tom5: Sony are not in a desperate situation like MS. That's just Copium from you retard lems because MS is in a world of shit and you guys want Sony to be in there with them too. They are printing money off the PS5, just the royalties they get from games like COD and Fortnite is enough to sustain them indefinitely. Most of their money isn't even made from their own games, it's made from selling other people's games on the PS Store. Margins from their own games are shrinking but the free money they get from third party games keeps rolling in and with MS about to vacate the console space, they are going to have even more money coming in from Xbox refugees.

PC retards definitely need to watch it. Yea, Sony is greedy but that greed only lasts as long as they are making money. If these retards start pushing back to the point it hurts Sony's money it will definitely make Sony rethink future PC integration strategies or at the very least cause delays in implementation. You can't be saying you want Sony to go day and date on your platform and then the next day start boycotting their games. Only a retard could think this kind of strategy can work in their favor.

:tom:  dude... get real..  There's one side who already admitted "going to their house because they wont come to ours"...  Sony has NO power and NO sway over the PC player base.  They either accept it, or they fuck off... and PC gamers have no problem telling Sony to fuck off.

Except... Sony wont... because they're DEPENDENT on PC for future growth prospects... and they've seen the potential already.

Sony will learn a lesson that they can't allow people to buy a game for months, and then suddenly change something, making it no longer accessible to a large audience due to something which would violate their own TOS... especially on a fanbase that has no dependency on them.  They have no hold on the platform.  But that doesn't change the fact that they will need to be there if they want growth for the future.  Their strategy will change in that they will make sure not to make the same stupid mistake again and allow a game to run for months without requiring the PSN log-in and then change it after the fact.  And no... Sony's salvation isn't Xbox refugees

And predicably tons of PC crybabies are crying about it.  Demanding refunds and leaving/changing their reviews to negative.     https://www.gamesradar.com/games/third-person-shoot

Missed this whole saga here but holy shit, Hermits truly proving why they are called Hermits.      Sony handled this very poorly but quite possibly the largest overreaction to something I ha

hermits are such little bitches lmao

Yea, now that we have a clear picture that this issue isn't about no damn account linking and is because Sony and Arrowhead truly fucked up here by selling this game in regions where PSN isn't legally supported.  I understand completely why people are pissed off and this game is getting tanked.

They sold the game for months in countries knowing that PSN wasn't available there.  They literally circumvented their own requirements knowing that PSN was supposed to be required since day 1... and yet Sony kept selling the game in countries where there exists no PSN without breaking their own TOS..

It's ridiculous to think that people should make accounts breaking Sony's own TOS, so they can play a game Sony is selling to them.  So there's no defending that at all.  This isn't crybaby PC gamers whining about making an account... this is Sony and Arrowhead fucking up and screwing themselves.

Game has dropped from the top 5 to 18th on the Steam global charts now.  Whether Sony will be able to correct this and make it up to the people affected remains to be seen.  Probably wont hear anything until tomorrow morning.. but man... what a fucking fumble :tom:

You sound like a retard. That statement of “going to their house…” was made by Shawn Layden who no longer works at Sony :cruise:

This isn’t a power struggle. It’s a money thing and PC frankly doesn’t make enough money for them to be dependent on it. You’re a fucking imbecile if you truly believe that few millions their single player games they sell on PC is what they depend on when they literally bring in billions from third party games on the PS store.

:sabu: They don’t depend on PC like struggling Shitbox, they want PC gamers’ money but they are in no way in need of PC gamers’ money especially if the PC gamers are threatening to sue them and refunding their games at an alarming rate. With HFW, TLOU pt. 1, R&C flopping on PC and now Helldivers 2 being the worst rated paid game on Steam, you really think they will be itching to bring their games to PC ASAP?  No playerbase is worth that kind of hassle especially when the money they bring in from PC is totally dwarfed by the money they bring in from their own consoles. You neckbeard Karen hermits aren’t nearly as important as you think you are lol. You will be getting their games late as usual not any quicker lol.

This is the biggest unforced fuck up in recent times :tom:

Like I said, they should have been well advised that you can't just change shit after the fact and expect it to go down smoothly.  If it would have been like this from the start, nobody would have said shit.  Problem is they knowingly sold the game in regions where it was impossible for people to make PSN accounts without breaking their TOS.. lmao.

Now they've officially stopped selling the game in those regions, although I'm not sure if that was Sony's decision specifically, or whether Valve stepped in themselves.

The should have just cut their losses for this specific game and just made it a requirement going forward.  The devs are probably totally pissed with Sony right now :smilecry:

Nope, they have advertised PSN login since the beginning.

They delayed the process due to sever issues.

It has never been a problem to create a PSN account in ANY COUNTRY in the world.

Steam fanboys were  basically lying and spreading fake news that you couldn't sign up for PSN, or that you would get banned.

.........for something nobody has ever gotten banned for.

The TOS does not list anything that indicates they would get banned for creating a PSN account and lying about the country you select.

In fact they even say  "country or region" or "area", or "country you registered in." Which means that your true residence is not a requirement.

^ It was made by the people who made the decision to go to PC... that is NOT changing.  Jim Ryan followed it, and so will this new guy, who's even more intent on expanding Sony beyond the console :tom:

Quite frankly.. you're simply wrong.  They ARE dependent on this kind of growth.  You keep thinking Sony has the ability to just scale back and things will be ok.... no sweetie.. the people who fund Sony demand more.. lmfao.

LMAO it just shows how idiotic your fanboyism is for Sony.  Sony will correct THEIR mistakes... this has nothing to do with PC gamers being whiny retard.  Sony's going to learn that you ain't coming on another platform and doing whatever the fuck you want by selling games with requirements that people literally can't fulfill :drake:

And dude... you're quickly going to learn that Sony are the unimportant ones in this equation... they have no ground to stand on.  Either do the right thing and fix your mistake, or fuck off :cruise:

Nope you're factually wrong about that.  Hell, Sony even sells Steam keys for the game DIRECTLY on their site, without mention of requiring a PSN account :drake:

https://direct.playstation.com/en-us/buy-games/helldivers-2-pc

And yes, dipshit, creating an account with false info IS ABSOLUTELY against their TOS :drake:

No.............it isn't against their TOS

and guess what..............go create an account right now on PSN..........they don't ask for your residence address, at all.

You select country, and the sentence asking for you selection says "country or region".

You don't have to enter any province or postal code.

And you don't even have to enter an ACCURATE CITY NAME, you could literally type gibbersh in there, and it will let you continue onto the next page. It does no vetting whatsoever.

Sony is going to cancel their PC plans...............all because grandstanding steam fanboys wanted to spread massively fake news to make themselves look like noble heroes

:tom:this is so amazingly on-brand for the state of PC gaming

Say goodbye to that Bloodborne port.

You will be waiting another 10 years for that Bloodborne port because you Karen crying hermits couldn’t take 3 minutes to create a burner account for PSN, keep coping :cruise:

:hest: The whole fiasco is retarded. I understand if gamers in  countries like Tajikistan are mad that they may be potentially locked out of a game they bought thanks to PSN shenanigans (unlikely but still possible) but the majority of the weirdos crying and using this situation to grandstand on actually live in countries with PSN support. The whole thing has blown up way more than it needs to with retards creating bots to spam #FreeHelldivers in EVO streams and crying about taking Sony to court even though they aren’t personally affected by it.

:mj: No company looking at these nerds having total meltdowns is going to start thinking about how to speed up ports to them. If anything it’s going to slow down future ports or any PSN integration in the future.

Yes, using false info IS against their TOS dipshit.  LMFAO.  We know Sony hasn't enforced it... because then their active monthly accounts would drop horribly :tom:  But that doesn't mean that they couldn't in the future.  This dude is literally claiming shit that you CAN do... ie lying... just like you can lie with an age restriction asking for your birthday :drake:   That's not for you... that's for them so they are legally covered.  Sony ABSOLUTELY assumes you are entering honest information.. and they have rules against it that CAN be enforced.. which is the issue.

And LOL, this pathetic "bubu say goodbye to ports" hopium from these absolute console losers.... just take your games and fuck off then  :hest:

It doesn't matter, you redeem it ON STEAM............the requirements are listed ON STEAM

Thanks for confirming that the developer did PROPERLY PUT A NOTICE ON THERE that PSN login was going to be required.

You've lost this argument.............you had to go and find a specific webpage OUTSIDE of steam to try and peddle something that isn't true.

You got caught intentionally being misleading.

No it isn't

Here's their TOS page..............go find it: https://www.playstation.com/en-us/legal/psn-terms-of-service/

Go find every instance of the word "country", and you will find the specific phrase "country you registered to" (which means that there was no asking of what your country of residence truly is), and you will find the phrases "country or region" or "country/area"..........which specifically means that you don't have to select a country in which you reside in but rather one in YOUR REGION, or YOUR AREA

And go to their account creation page and go make another PSN account, no where does it ask for your actual residence address. Or even a correct city, or even a province, or postal code.

You should already know because you made another one for your PS5 :drake:

In other words.............steam fanboys and lemmings-hiding-behind-PC fanboys like yourself are intentionally lying and spreading fake news.

Say goodbye on any chance of a Bloodborne port, now :lawl:

And read the final line, the false information would have been for a "purpose that violates this agreement"..................they are talking about breaking the Usage or Behavioral Terms of the agreement.

if you USED false information to do something that violates the agreement, you can be banned. it, in of itself, is not the grounds for being banned.
