Their original plan for PC said nothing about day and date for all GaaS games on PC.. and yet we now know that they damn near flipped their entire company business to make GaaS games and only reverted now after backlash from some of their studios and their hardcore fans.  Yet GaaS games are still a major part of their upcoming games despite cutting back on them, and now we know they're all coming day 1.  I mean for god's sake... Naughty Dog was going to put out a AAA GaaS TLOU title on both PS and PC day 1...  The studio was literally shifting to a GaaS studio, then backpedaled.  That's one of Sony's biggest franchises.

 

Their plans.. can and will change on a whim.  The less they depend on AAA SP games (which by the way are releasing further and further apart) the more likely they will be to make the most money they can upfront, when the marketing and hype cycles are their highest.

Speaking of delusion what happened to the PSN boycott Hermits were supposed to have? I remember you saying that after the Helldivers 2 PSN meltdown that PC users were never going to submit to Sony requiring PSN accounts. A month later and those same PC users that cried about PSN requirement for Helldivers 2 have now bought Ghost of Tsushima in droves making it the #1 game for the month despite the fact it also requires a PSN account to play

Hey, I am just stating the facts. Usually facts that trigger cows to the moon and back, but facts nonetheless. It's actually looking like the Switch will take the official top spot of all consoles of every gen by the time this ends.

 

Not sure why anyone would want to lower their standards to the likes of Uncharted 2/Infamous 2. I should mention, Uncharted 4 shits all over Uncharted 2, and God of War 3 is indeed the best God of War game ever made. But let's get back on topic of the gen 9 consoles, Xbox Series, Switch and PS5. Switch is clobbering them both.

Yes Uncharted 4 is more awesome than Uncharted 2. It'll be 20 years before Nintendo makes a game that matches Uncharted 4. I'm grading on a big curve here.

I'm hoping ND's next project is a brand new thing. And I'm sure whatever it is won't be matched by Nintendo for at least 15 years.

 

Switch hardware is comparable to WiiU, 360, PS3. But Nintendo doesn't make games up to the AAAs of that era. We could say Zelda near that level, but most of what Nintendo makes isn't close to Zelda. They couldn't even be fucked to make a new Mario Kart for Switch.

AAA budgets growing past 300M means that there will be "synergies" with "multiplatforms" as Hiroki Totoki explained.

 

Xbox is dead in the water, but PS5 also doesn't have the install base to consistently move 30M+ copies of games. You need better than 50% attach rate which is just crazy to expect.

He then further clarified that GAAS will be day and date (for obvious reasons) and then PC will get delayed ports of tent pole games.

Single player TLOU Remake was released on PC 180 days after PS5 release. That window just shrinks and shrinks. The fact that Sony is putting out more first party developed games on Microsoft Windows PC this past year compared to PS5 is a dagger to the heart for cows worldwide.

They stopped making tent pole games lmfao. There is only one ps5 game this year not coming to pc and that's because it's built around the dual sense.

Tlou was already playable on PS5 prior to the remaster. 

 

Tlou remaster was  re-release of a re-release of a PS3 game and it still wasn't day and date. 

 

The most recent port to PC was a 4 year old PS4 game.
