I think it will be close and will depend on the game/engine. Ones which do well on Nvidia, perhaps not, but ones which do well on AMD it should be close. I think Richard is mostly equating it to a 4070 because of the potential RT performance and the fact that it has some ML capabilities.

I think you're mistaken on the "how and what kinds of games are made" thing. Not sure exactly what types of games you are expecting to be made on consoles specifically... but PC has nothing to do with them not reaching their potential. They're making the games they were always going to make for consoles. The issue you have is both on MS and Sony to make their platforms unique...and that their investors always want more.. and thus consoles alone are no longer enough. Yeah, Nvidia and AMDs new GPUs will be announced and coming soon. Just as Sony closes the gap a bit, new GPUs will widen it again lol. I'm not glad, but I'm indifferent. It used to make me sad when I'd go out shopping and see the retail space for gaming shrink and shrink year after year.. but these days I barely go to the electronics sections of any stores anymore lol. I miss the days of nice big boxes and nice packaging in games. You can only get that with limited or collector's editions of games these days and I wouldn't waste money on that either. There's only a few game series these days thar I'd do that for. Diablo being one of them.

Good to see! The game deserves to be successful. This is more what I expected for retail as well considering the install base now vs then.. but physical is really dying in the UK. Pro being only digital won't help physical either.

Not bad to be honest. VRAM holds it back, and of course the lack or RT acceleration.. but it's still a decent raster GPU. It's honestly one of the best GPUs of all time. Was an incredible value.

Yeah, so if someone has a processor from 2019 or later, that's essentially the only upgrade they'd need to make to perform at least as well or better than a PS5 Pro, for the next 4 years.
