  1. It gets more certain each day that Sony has elected to go with a 36CU part for PS5, and it's becoming clearer that they are going to be in the 9TF range.. essentially only reaching that performance by clocking the GPU at @2ghz. The rumor is that Sony's going with more extravagant cooling solution because they are forced to push clocks higher since their method of maintaining backwards compatibility is reliant upon the hardware mimicking as close as possible the performance characteristics of the PS4 consoles. Thus requiring more expensive cooling. This essentially locks Sony down
  2. For that to be true, the box that you'd have to put them in..... is the xbox
  3. Not sure how you get that out of anything that has been said... but you are dumb as fuck so... Sounds like Nvidia is going to scam you again.. and you already know it
  4. No, hence why they're only now speaking about it being a more important metric than unit sales. MS said that ages ago The only real thing you could say Sony is ahead of the curve on is VR.
  5. Eh, nothing is really being extrapolated from that. DC changed the subject.
  6. I think they're going all in on PSVR2. Still... that sucks for VR people who bought PSVRs. Meanwhile PCVR is getting ready for the highest profile VR game to ever be made releasing next month..
  7. Yea, he's a dumbass. Someone says "Phone" and he's suddenly here again...
  8. GTC announcement at the end of March seems likely. https://wccftech.com/nvidia-hints-ampere-gpu-7nm-launch-gtc-2020/?fbclid=IwAR2WMtjpbIcipHi2lqlvy7yb0FmPFPVZKTs4YnoCvwGeDg6vdeKodyN1NMA
  9. I agree. Still... MS had stated FAR earlier, the actual metrics which are important to the success of the company.. because fourm warriors couldn't seem to get over direct sales numbers. Sony now agrees. That's all.
  10. Close the thread Alphonse. These idiots arguing about their phones are going to drown out any meaningful discussion. Make it better for Desktop so both these idiots have to struggle as much as humanly possible to post shit from their phones. Thx
  11. So ahead that Sony is looking to partner with MS for their services for the future.. lol Let's be real, when talking about Cloud gaming, MS is ahead of the curve with they way they are building up their service. First party games day and date.. as well as gamepass coming to xcloud.. Not to mention that it's painfully obvious to anyone, that MS is speaking more about xCloud than Sony does about PSNow. That shit would have been left as a BC method of streaming for PS5 if it wasn't for MS pushing in this direction. Sony has also been REMOVING platforms from their servic
  12. Of course... they were the first to do it... hiding those numbers now that they are doing bad is whatever... They are still the more meaningful numbers... now Sony admits it. I'm sure when cloud and GP reaches a certain milestone, they'll report those numbers.
  13. Well, I'm not arguing that Sony doesn't report more data.... I'm arguing that MS has made a case for reporting the newer more meaningful data points, and presenting them as such, than Sony has in the past. Every single time... because they are ahead of the curve. The other shit I really don't give a fuck about. Only console fanboys do
  14. Well, I think anyone could have called a CP2077 delay, as well as new Nvidia GPUs in 2020... but glad it's working out for you lol
  15. None of that changes what I said.. .lmao Look forward to MS announcing the next metric by which Sony will gauge their success on.
  16. Well of course. The more info the better.. but MS was reporting things like MAU numbers before Sony and stressed that they were more relevant, even when MS wasn't doing so bad. If Sony was doing badly they'd do the same as MS did this gen too. I know some people here wont like to hear this... but it's a simple fact. MS IS ahead of the curve. They were ahead of Sony since the original Xbox, with Xbox Live and online. They were the first with a digital distribution store, as well as the first with achievements. With XO they have failed quite spectacularly, but they are UNDOUBTE
  17. https://www.igorslab.de/en/why-the-increase-in-performance-of-nvidias-ampere-could-be-quite-enormous-the-board-partners-must-already-now-enter-the-practice-phase-igorslab-investigative/ First off, this guy isn't just a nobody.. Igor writes and contributes to many of the top tech sites, and is extremely knowledgeable in hardware components and all that. This guy is basically as legit as it gets. Basically what his article goes on about is that Nvidia already has board partners testing circuitry and components of new boards with 2080ti dies. This comes at a cost to the
  18. I prefer desktop by far. I'm not really that good with the mobile shit though because I haven't used it enough. How simple are we talking? Anyway, do what you gotta do breh.
  19. I would not envy Sony with the amount of hate they would get if that happens any time soon. Even just a year later... the salt would be COARSE.
  20. MS has always been ahead of the curve than Sony on reporting the more meaningful metrics for the time. Only forum fanboy's act like sales numbers are the be-all and end-all of success. Companies care more about active users and what they spend per month than unit sales. Everyone knows these companies only make a tiny fraction of their money off of hardware sales, it's mostly off software and services. Which is why those numbers are more relevant.. and will continue to be going forward as these companies put less emphasis on the device itself and more on the ecosystem.
  21. https://community.playstation.com/content/pdc/us/en_US/pdc-communities/support/Consoles-Peripherals.topic.html/update_communityfo-8D71.html I wonder what Sony is up to? They're obviously making a lot of changes and pushing their efforts in a different direction. I wonder if they'll have some kind of new support portal which is better, of if they really just don't see the point in having fourms anymore on the official site? Lot's of stuff happening at Sony. I'm interested in seeing if they are really overhauling their entire platform front to back, or whethe
  22. And PS5 could fall right in the middle of Series S and X, price and power wise.
