Im pretty sure there's no way they can properly explain some of the shit i've seen Personally I think the show peaked with the first 3 seasons, and has steadily gotten worse starting at 4 (which was still quite good). 5 and 6 so far have just been really messy. i dug 5, but i knew they bit off more than they could chew. it's a shame because some of the fan theories were pretty awesome.

I do think there is a bit of filler that hurts the pacing. I think if the series was just 1 maybe 2 episodes shorter it would have been better for it.

I’m sure I’ll still dig it, though.

-GD-X★ 7,822
@Twinblade Finished Hijack. That was a wild ending! Overall, it felt a nice throwback to 90's action thrillers.

And the visuals were insane! Probably the best FX i've seen in a TV show since GoT.

Twinblade★ 3,991
I only have a few episodes of Lost left. I can't begin to describe how fucking retarded the story and overarching mystery gets It still has plenty of good moments, particularly the character focused scenes in the Spoiler alternate universe/timeline where the plane never crashed but most of the stuff thats happening on the island is impossible to take seriously.
jehurey 3,299
oh my god, Hijack is fucking corny and hilarious with the odd way that they film things. barely halfway thru episode 2, this is a fantastic show to watch while buzzed. Every camera angle that gives an obvious clue away, every heavy bass noise that gives a clue away. And then the Apple product placement I was almost expecting one terrorist to show Idris Elba's phone to another terrorist and ask them "hey bruv, does this phone av' any features to retrieve deleted or lost text messages?" And the other terrorist says "yeah bruv, wit da iphone 14 icloud backup, you will nevah lus' a tex' message again!" And the big reveal at the end of episode 1. "What does yer' dad do fer a livin?" "Well you see....[dramatic pause]................he's a late merger negotiations closer specialist." Was I supposed to go "WHOOOOOA, holy shit!" or something?

Ummm that’s not the big reveal at the end. It’s Spoiler Him wanting to help the hijackers for his own personal gain. It was a fun new wrinkle in an old formula. but yeah, the show screams 90’s action corny thriller, but that’s what makes it fun.
Twinblade★ 3,991
My Lost journey is over That was....quite the ending. I admit im somewhat lost but I was tuning out at points during the last 2 seasons, so I could have potentially missed some crucial information or setup. Im just gonna look up some summaries and theories to fill in the gaps, but it was generally a very effective and emotional ending I think. When it comes to the island, the turning point that started to sour me on the core mystery was Spoiler When Locke dies and then the smoke monster becomes corporeal and decides to take his appearance. I really could not get down with that nonsense. But then the writers decide to make that character the main villain as well as the focal point of the last 2 seasons, and that really hurt the show for me. Thankfully the characters and their relationships with one another in the end did redeem parts of these seasons for me.

Spoiler I think what may throw people off is that the smoke monster, that we've always thought of just being in the form of smoke, was doing something different in the latter seasons. Take the shape of other people, a shapeshifter. But, remember Mr. Eko's episode in Season 3. Its not 100% confirmed, but its highly likely that the smoke monster was already shape shifting. And I think the idea is that if there is a dead corpse that is on the island, the smoke monster can shapeshift into that person to mimic them. That would include Jack Shepherd's father. Who was being transported in a coffin on the plane.
