This thread is a perfect example on how we can argue about anything and everything.  I love it.

Uh, no.  Jaguar is more powerful than the Leopard pound for pound.

No. Jaguar is the most powerful jaw. Leopards are the most powerful pound for pound

3. Though leopards are the smallest of the big cat species, they are pound-for-pound the strongest. Their stocky, powerful build allows them to drag large prey up into trees to keep it away from scavengers

That means nothing.  They are smaller and more agile... not stronger.  A Jaguar for example COULD carry prey up into a tree... it doesn't because Jag's don't fear(have) as many predators as Leopards do and thus don't have the need.  It's a completely different dynamic.

you have a different idea of what pound for pound means then lol. Leopards can drag animals twice their weight vertically up a tree. A jaguar does not because it can not.

because they are the apex predator in south america. Leopards have more competition in africa, they had to adapt, and they evolved into stronger cats that can lift more.

This thread turned into YouTube comments lol

Big cats are so strong tho . A 100 pound leopard could fuck you up hard .

The one video of the tiger at the zoo that snatched that guy was pretty amazing to see the power they have . Just grabbed him and ran like he weighed nothing .
