Even reading impressions though from others and they're loving it. So as a fan of QB and the aesthetic of the game.. I'm fairly sure I'll enjoy it.
DynamiteCop 2,088
It seems that Remedy is kind of sour about the way things went with Microsoft. Probably more so for budget reasons, they were likely hoping to build this game with them with a larger budget for full realization but Microsoft wasn't interested. From Game Informer talking to Control's game director. GI - "Do you want to look in the camera right now and deliver a message to Microsoft?" R - "Mmm, not really..." GI - "You can say anything you want." R - "That's the real problem (chuckling)" R - "We're happy to be on your platform with Control Microsoft, so that's great. Thank you for that." It almost seems like Microsoft just wasn't interested in dealing with them anymore, the last comment almost seem as if there was a question of whether or not they would even allow this game on the platform. --------------- GI - "What's the ideal budget for a video game?" R - "A nice lump sum of $50 million, that would be nice, and another $50 million for marketing" GI - "Right, what's the budget for Control?" R - "(Laughing) Yeah... very funny..." jehurey 3,299
LOL. I love how dynocrap always mis-evaluates every piece of narrative. That guy clearly wanted to trash Microsoft, but knows that he gains nothing by doing so. When he says "we are happy to have our game on your platform" that's basically them saying that Microsoft barely did anything. It has nothing to do with Microsoft mercifully allowing them to be on their platform. Its not like MS is in any position to reject them. LOL
JonDnD 2,698
100 million would be nice eh ? Probably what they wanted from MS

Maybe Metacritic stopped accepting reviews from sites, of they just haven't added them for some reason? Anyway, the game has 124 reviews on Opencritic and is sitting at an 84. They're Patreon funded, they need any and all attention they can get.

The point is, there's been plenty of sites that have posted theirs on Opencritic which haven't been added to Metacritic.... sites that HAVE been on Metacritic before. So I don't know why they aren't adding them. But what's clear is that if they do, the meta will go up.
