There's simply no excuse anymore, Capcom needs to stop bothering with games like RE2 and DMCV on XB1, all resources spent on XB1 need to be redirected into getting comptent ports of these games onto Switch hardware. DynamiteCop 2,162
That's packaged software retard, the digital figures are all merged. P.S. also to dispellers of digital sales not taking over, physical IS becoming irrelevant. Edited October 15, 2019 by DynamiteCop!

Quad Damage 1,971
"For the fiscal year ending March 2019, Capcom shipped 6.5 million units of packaged software for PS4, 1.95 million units of packaged software for Switch and 1.2 million units of packaged software for Xbox One." xbox gamers interest in japanese games simply isnt there like it is on the other platforms. when capcom and square are the only japanese pubs left producing big budget modern looking japanese games and even they struggle to put up numbers on xbox, the mid and lower budget ones stand no chance. thats why there were as many xcluded japanese games as there were this gen (dragon quest, final fantasy 7, guilty gear, nioh, street fighter, etc) and thats why ps5 already won - theres only going to be one system next gen that gets the complete slate of japanese third party (again). time for phil to take another trip to japan
jehurey 3,318
What? Xbox got RE2, DMC5, and Monster Hunter World within the past year, how is that even possible? Looks like Capcom should be putting more effort on the Switch from this point forward, holy shit is the XBO dead in the water.

That revenue figure doesn't change the number of game sales retard, also digital platforms offer discounts at considerable disproportion to the physical market. 10 million physical units 15.3 million full-game digital units They sold 53% more physical games in 2019. Then when Goukosan pointed out the revenue figure was for all digital revenue including DLC, you started talking about unit sales. Which, yeah, is in favour of digital, however the revenue split is still the crux of the argument and what's really going to matter in the end. After all, an additional 5 million unit sales and the entirety of Capcom's DLC catalogue still only resulted in a difference of 5 billion yen (or 14% more) in revenue for 2019. Pretty hard to call that irrelevancy, IMO. If your argument was that 2020 is when physical is going to be irrelevant it would still be dumb, though, considering the revenue projections reflect a pretty lackluster year for Capcom in terms of releases and subsequently unit sales regardless of delivery method rather than a shift in how people buy games. First you pointed out revenue and that got shut down then you switched to units now... lol Digital units includes all of Capcoms digital catalogue on all systems including Capcom PC games. PC physical only includes THREE SKUS.. lol and with all that Digital only had a 5 million difference... remove the PC digital and both console Physical and Digital are comparable. Which brings us back to consoles.... which was the topic of the thread. Capcom games sold more on PS4 and Switch than deadbox1 Edited October 15, 2019 by Goukosan

Nobody cares about revenue, the whole argument this faggot and I have been arguing about for what seems like years now is digital overtake of unit sales, and it's quite clear that is not only in the process of happening, but has happened.
