After doing some calculations, Bill Gates has enough money to feed every starving person in Africa every day for 140 years

There are 226 million starving in Africa, according to most charities it costs 35 cents a day to feed them. Bill Gates is sitting on 110 000 000 000 dollars. :|

35 cents a day is added to a subsidy and provides bare minimum nutrition, and even with this meager accommodation that wouldn't even spread 4 years.

In reality to get people properly fed the money would last about 6 months.

Which is above no nutrition. Anyway, that's just 1 man's net worth. 1.

Starving in this case doesn't mean literally no food, it means sub-par nutrition, they're still getting nutrition. The point stands, billionaires can't save the world and their contribution to the advancement of society is more important than fleecing their money to people that are not a net benefit.

These kinds of people need to stop having children, it's as simple as that.

He could be but he'd put a massive hole in Microsoft worth more than Sony lol.

Do you need to equate everything to MS and Sony.

Plus he can't just sell all his MS shares. Not to mention doing so would drastically reduce the valuation of said MS share value which is a giant party of his net worth.

He's still obvioulsy insanely rich and very very liquid but this idea that everyone on the rich list is just sitting on their 'net worth' is ridiculous.

All of those rich guys do, especially Bezos. They are amazing tax write offs.

Its all just a formula they follow. They give away enough to have a positive impact on their income taxes without hurting their net wealth.
