Trump is probably fuming about these numbers; but to his aides and staff he must sound like the kid from the Malcom in the middle, gasping for air mid-sentence.

Believing in literally false numbers, laughing irl.

Don't see a single person on the street who supports Dems anymore. The mood in the air is obvious.

You must have all those same secret polls that Trump says he has. :mj:

And now Trump has now said that he is walking away from stimulus talks, and has openly said that he now considers passing his Supreme Court nominee to be a higher priority than help the people and the economy.

Markets immediately went down 600 points within minutes of making the tweet. And they will keep on going down.

And now he's trying to make more demands via tweet.

Its not working, it looks really bad him trying to sound like a hostage-taker and making demands over twitter.

Things don't appear to be going the way he wants it to.

Biden Widens Lead to 21 Points After Trump's Coronavirus Diagnosis: Poll

By Aila Slisco On 10/6/20 at 9:41 PM EDT

Dramatically fewer voters said they intend to cast ballots for President Donald Trump after he was diagnosed with COVID-19, according to a new poll.

A poll released Tuesday by Franklin Pierce University and The Boston Herald shows Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden's lead grew from 5 percent before the positive test result to 21 percent after Trump's diagnosis was announced.

Biden was supported by 46 percent of likely voters compared to 41 percent for Trump during the two days before his infection was revealed, while 55 percent said they would vote for Biden and only 34 percent stuck with Trump in the three days after the diagnosis.

The poll was conducted nationally among 1,003 likely voters over the phone and online between September 30 and October 4, with a 3.1 percent margin of error. When results from all five days of the survey are included, Biden holds an overall 51 percent to 37 percent lead over Trump.

The lead may revert back to the mean after Trump "recovers", but as long as Biden is at least +5, we are looking at a super safe victory

It's also hard for Trump to make up ground because of two reasons. First, Biden is already >50% when looking at LV models in swings states (including third parties). Second, people already know Trump, and more importantly, they already know that he is a liar. No matter what outlandish things he says as he starts getting cornered, people have been conditioned to know that he will say whatever it takes.

Not even the most brilliant campaign strategy would be able to deviate from those basic facts.
