I didn't like Herlock Sholmes at first, but now he's turning into one of the best character in the whole series.    I want a gif of his animation when he's throwing punches in the air.

You have figured out my ulterior motive and exposed it on SW. Amazing work, Sherlock.

haha the addiction is kicking in

just to be sure, you don't need to have an inherent knowledge about the events from the Ace Attorney games, or Apollo Justice, or the Ace Attorney Investigation games, right?

Or knowledge about characters? I know all the characters from the first Ace Attorney game, and I do know some about Godot, and I know some about Apollo Justice, the character.

No, it's essentially a prequel.  Regardless, as with the other games in this series, you really don't need to have played them all, or in any certain order to enjoy them.  They're essentially self contained stories as far as I can remember.. although having knowledge and familiarity with both will help you appreciate certain callbacks more.

Yeah, I would recommend (but it’s not mandatory)  PW 1-3 to be played in order (Godot :wow2:). But this is definitely a stand alone series. Herlock Sholmes  I love the quirkiness.

I like how Susato is basically a early 1900s version of Maya from the regular series :ben: these characters own

Yup! And herlock’s randomness reminds me of Gumshoe.

They could have easily had a Sherlock Holmes type character that was smart and right about everything, but the funny aspect of Herlock's character is how wrong his deductions usually are :ben:

Also, fun fact but one of the reasons why the game was never localized until now was because of concerns over Sherlock's portrayal in the game. In Japan they were able to use Sherlock Holmes' full name but they would run into licensing issues in the U.S if they did that, so finally they found a solution.....which was simply to call him Herlock Sholmes :D I wouldn't be surprised if the english localization was funnier than the original, just based on that change.

I'm almost done with the first trial. Took longer than I expected.

If that's the 'tutorial' trial then I can't wait for the more serious trials to start.

They get better and better, and throw cool curveballs in the formula. I’m on 3 now.

@Twinblade

Spoiler

I like the jurors’ contentions. Dope!

I'm gonna be a bit behind on this because I've been playing Halo this weekend, but it sounds amazing :D

If the second game bundled is truly better than the first…then DAMN!

Yeah thats a cool new feature, and I like how even the jury characters have their own quirky personalities. The cast for this game feels quite a bit larger than the original ones.

Damn bro!! You are blasting through it!

Yeah its pretty easy to sink several hours into it at a time without realizing it. It also feels easier than the past games, so I haven't gotten stuck for longer than a few minutes at any point.

Yeah, the flow is excellent! Nothing feels easily overlooked. Also, the game oozes charm. I had forgotten how much I had loved this franchise, back in the day.
