Mark Zuckerberg announces that GTA San Andreas is coming to Quest and VR.

Recommended Posts

Oculus, Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg are scumbags. The fact that they don't release these games for other VR headsets is just dumb. The Quest is the only competent budget VR headset, anything anybody else is buying isn't even remotely in the same class or financial market so without competition it makes no sense garden walling these games.

They're not driving in enthusiast VR users to buy a quest, so it's just lost revenue for a completely different market sector. Adding to this it's dumb to make VR exclusive titles in the first place, adoption across the board is slow and software should be released everywhere.

this is embarassing to PC VR gaming.

Basically famous Gamecube and PS2 is where PC VR is currently at?

These people can't make a full single-player action-adventure, so they have to buy 16 year old single-player games.

No one cares about VR enthusiasts.

Hardware manufacturer's aren't interested in selling the competition VR headset.   Hence you will have exclusivity.

But they're not, like I said the people who are buying the other VR headsets have no interest in purchasing something like a Quest 2.

It's a completely different financial demographic. None of these people are ever going to buy one of those headsets so it is a sale lost automatically, however if the software was available to their platform they would buy it.

It doesn't make any sense the lockout software in the VR ecosystem.

Except for the fact that Oculus Quest 2 is, by far, the most successful selling people of PC VR hardware compared to all the others.

What sales you think they are "losing" clearly isn't overshadowing the sales that they are still getting.

You must be pretty stupid to not understand the concept of why hardware makers would want to get exclusives.

Probably because you're a fanboy of a company who pretty much turned into a common third-party publisher.

Why do you always assume everything must be marketed to YOU only people like YOU and what YOU like?   Who says FB is going after the demographic that you fall in?

Further more, You're not entitled to recieve every single VR game out there to the VR headset of your choice?

The game is exclusive .if you want to play it purchase the hardware.  If not then shut the fuck up and stop crying.

Exclusives makes sense when you have a direct competitor, the Quest 2 has no direct competitor. Exclusives make sense when you have a massive field of people to draw from, there isn't a massive field to draw from. Exclusives make sense for something that is firmly well-established, VR is not firmly well-established and is still getting off the ground.

Exclusives in this market do not make sense in any capacity whatsoever or for any reason. They only serve to cripple VR as a platform.

of course they do, other VR hardware and their respective stores.

And Facebook is, eventually, seeking to make a profit from.............................hardware itself.

Did that ever occur to you?

Sweetie.............if releasing fucking modified ports of 2004 and 2005 games is crippling your competitors..........holy jesus christ your platform must suck ass.

These games being available to other VR platforms wouldn't change the sales of their headset whatsoever. Furthermore if they're concerned about financial gain they could use their own platform as a DRM layer to funnel purchases into their store.

Yes it would.

Once again...........I refer to you to Oculus Quest 2 being the most successful PC VR selling piece of hardware.

You're argument falls apart there.

Do you honestly think you can just repeat things that aren't true, and expect me to follow the rest of your logic if the basic foundation in which it rest isn't true?

People who are buying Index or Vive Pro level hardware are not buying Quest's under any circumstances and vice versa. You've lost, they're completely different market sectors that do not interfere with one another.

Except those who would be interested with PC VR will be more likely to be swayed to go with oculus quest 2 because of these "major exclusives"

No..............it looks like you're not understanding.

If you're sitting here bitching and moaning that you are not getting these games................then what facebook is doing IS CLEARLY WORKING.

As Intended.

Nobody looking into enthusiast class hardware is considering a Quest LOL. You're completely out of touch with the VR market because you know nothing about it, because you're not involved with it. Stay in your lane.

Clearly, by looking at Oculus Quest 2 being the only real successful PC VR hardware.............nobody is looking into enthusiast class VR hardware.............IN GENERAL

Thank you, you just helping me in making my point.
