Horizon Forbidden West getting VRR update. High refresh rate and 40fps mode incoming.

Recommended Posts

:aitch: Sony is on a roll and this amazing game is getting 120fps and 40fps modes. Sony is leading the charge on VRR while MS leads the charge in delays and self-ownership.

StarFail is targeting 30fps and looking like a Native 4K Xbox 360 game while Sony is dropping graphical showcases like this and R&C that hit 120fps :hest:

:rawf: The best looking next gen game just got better while lemshits are swimming in their tears waiting for Starfail to launch with stuttery 24fps.

Notice it’s “vrr support up to 120 fps” or 40fps mode.

That doesn’t help Elden Ring on PS5.

It literally does, Elden Rings performance issues were micro drops in frame rates which are smoothed out with VRR as the game is normally in the 55-60 range

Any major drops below from 60 - 40 will be just as evident with VRR or not, and they are more common on Xbox

No the game isn't.  Later areas drop below 40fps often... as per Digital Foundry.

And no.. they aren't.

LMAO it's pretty pathetic when people suggest you buy the PS4 version to play on PS5 to have decent fps :lawl:

I'd say the PC version is in a better state than the PS5 version now that the compilation stutter has been fixed.  A locked 60 outside of a couple stutters on the open world when traversing from one area to the next is better than constant drops to 40-50 while you turn the camera :mj:

:sabu: STFU @ghostz you retard. No one gives a shit about your opinion. All the tech YouTube channels are praising it and even NXGamer from IGN compared to what MS is doing and says Microsoft need to step their game up when it comes to this shit. Microsoft is behind in games and tech. Their games look like ass and none of them is using raytracing or VRR to good effect. All their tech is being wasted on doing backwards compatibility for old ass 360 and XB1 games because they have nothing worth playing this gen from MS studios.

FH5 looks better than most PS games..  Flight Sim looks amazing and is graphically and technologically more impressive than most PS games too...  Gears 5 looks as good as any Sony games as well.  Gears 6 and Hellblade 2 will look phenomenal

Ratchet and Clank and Horizon shit on all Xbox games and that’s a fact. Ratchet won all the technical awards last year  despite Forza launching last year as well, and Spiderman games and Ratchet are the only console games to push RT and 120fps at the same time. Technically Sony’s games are in a league of their own, it’s not even debatable.

Forza and Flight Sim look great but Sony’s top tier games look better and are technically superior on consoles. Gears isn’t even in the running as Death Stranding and TLOU2 both destroyed it last gen :mj:

Horizon Forbidden West is a 2022 game and already has a higher completion rate that Gaylo Midfinite!

I think the lack of games this year has made you lemshits delirious :mroff:

No.  Any "completion" rate info that you have for Halo Infinite is massively skewed because of the free to play aspect of the game.  Microsoft made the MP the main part of the package, and then the campaign was released as DLC.  Anyone who downloaded and played the f2p multiplayer contributes to the lower completion rate because it's all together... there's literally 10s of millions.

I wouldn't be surprised if MS did that to specifically boost purchase and player count statistics from Steam and Xbox though :D

FOH with your excuses. Halo Infinite is dogshit and no one is even playing it now despite being free to play :sabu:

The multiplayer is dead therefore more ppl should be at least playing the dogshit SP. You’re making it sound like the MP is popping and drawing people away from the shitty campaign. No damage control will work for you with Halo Midfinite. Gears 5 also had the same low completion issue Halo had. Xbox gamers are notorious for not finishing their games.
