Like I said before, they just want to see brash white men raging against ethnic people, women, gays, and woke people. Doesn't matter who or what else they are about.
jehurey 3,230
The Republicans at CPAC are literally, LITERALLY, talk and thinking like Cooke, at this point. Quote The announcer then introduced the panel discussion titled "We Are All Domestic Terrorists." The engagement included Julie Pickren, a State Board of Education candidate running to represent District 7 out of Manvel, Texas. As reported by the Houston Chronicle's Edward McKinley, Pickren was voted off the Alvin ISD board of trustees in 2021 after participating in the "Stop the Steal" rally that preceded the January 6 attacks on the U.S. Capitol. Pickren claimed the line was meant to be tongue-in-cheek, according to Texas Monthly. “Nobody in this room is a domestic terrorist,” she assured the attendees in the Hilton Anatole’s Trinity Ballroom. Political experts say that despite Pickren's assurances, the slogan represents a departure from conservatives' past attempts to reappropriate labels given to them by groups they perceive as their political opponents. Cal Jillson, professor of political science at Southern Methodist University, said the slogan is likely another attempt to repurpose liberals' derogatory labels for right-wingers as badges of honor for conservatives. Past examples include conservatives' mocking embrace of "deplorables," Hillary Clinton's characterization of Donald Trump supporters. See also: Senator Ted Cruz's recent adoption of the phrase "dangerous radicals, which the junior senator coopted with pride during a Friday CPAC session. According to Jillson, however, "We Are All Domestic Terrorists" is new territory for conservative repurposing. "We cannot afford to take it as a joke anymore," she said. "To label yourself 'domestic terrorists' is over the line."

Remember when @Saucer claimed you were reaching with this thread? As bad as that is, Vance hates Trump. He needed Trump to endorse him so he could win, so now Vance has to act like one of his henchmen. Some how it's not a problem that one corrupt man rules over an entire political party like he's a sultan or something. Cooke's racism, Ramza's Transphobia, and Twincel's cowardice are what draws them to the right wing. No sense of fairness, justice, or determination for prosperity.
