LOL. shut the fuck up with that dumb shit....comparing a sports comedy to a big budget post-apocalyptic drama. FYI, Ted Lasso is a stellar show in its respective GENRE. Apple + has Severance (better than anything HBO has done since Westworld season 1), Black Bird (excellent limited series), Slow Horses (with the amazing Gary Oldman), Foundation (stellar production values and a pretty wild concept), For All Mankind (some soapy elements drag it down, but one can't deny its thrilling moments and set pieces), etc.... you need to find the chromosome you're missing. JFC.

If you watch Ted Lasso, congrats you are a dog brain.

Woah Woah slowdown there buddy.

While severance is good, it's definitely not West world tier.

I don't necessarily think AppleTV has achieved "quality of quantity"

They have a few nice shows, a couple of really good shows, that have very good production quality.

They're already purchased products, or they booked a deal with somebody shopping a product. They didn't really develop them in-house.

But they have quite a few swings and misses, and them trying to bring back people who simply aren't as relevant anymore (Oprah and Jon Stewart).

The Morning Show is the best example of AppleTV.

High profile celebrities, the show looks like its first-class in everything, but its not going to win any awards.

this isn't 2019 anymore.

Add Slow Horses, Black Bird, Ted Lasso, etc...and it's way more about "quality" than you think.

Even Forbes sums up the HBO/Apple + comparison. Instead of Jerry-graphs, i present actual credible sources. So, have a seat and enjoy a warm glass of "shut the fuck up with that nonsense"....

Severance only has had one season and even in that one season the middle of the season dragged for a bit before it picked back up.. Let's see if they can keep the quality up for multiple seasons.

West world is up to season 4 I believe... And yes some of the other seasons didn't match the first but the most current season was better than all except the 1st one.

Point is... Severance carried one season and had some weak episodes.... Will they be able to replicate this quality for 5 to 6 years?

And that first season while good, was no where as good as Westworld season 1 so let's see what happens moving forward with it.

yet, they are being compared by major publications LOL. derp. also, HBO isn't as good as it used to be. GoT went to shit. Westworld went to shit. if you compare CURRENT shows, Apple + has the edge.

Yes for their one season wonder shows.

It's called recency bias.

Has Apple + carried any series for a multitude of years?

You're comparing Apple TV + to HBO when HBO has catelogs of ENTIRE SERIES for multiple years of great seasons.

I'll even use GOT... While season 8 went to shit because the creators were leaving to do Disney movies.. Season 1 to 7 is better than any show Apple + has put out.

Until Apple + can maintain that level of quality, they're not HBO level as yet.

You're comparing 1 season to shows with 8 seasons? Lmfao.

The quality of the shows on Apple have improved but just for one season or two.. Let's see what the quality is at by season 4 and 5.

Speaking of Most recent performance

HBO and HBO Max nabbed the most wins at this year’s Emmy Awards.

2022 Emmy Wins by Streaming Service
  • HBO Max: 12 Primetime, 25 Creative Arts.
  • Netflix: 3 Primetime, 23 Creative Arts.
  • Hulu: 2 Primetime, 8 Creative Arts.
  • Apple TV+: 4 Primetime, 5 Creative Arts.
  • Disney+: 0 Primetime, 9 Creative Arts.
  • Amazon Prime Video: 1 Primetime, 6 Creative Arts

You were saying? :umad:

Now im not saying Apple + is shit, but it's not the best steaming service.  They put out a few good shows that had one good season and that makes them best?

HBO still puts out the best overall shows quality and quantity wise.

that's fair. i think the emmy awards are a joke, but it's still, technically, a credible source. i will accept defeat.
