So did anyone watch Trump's town hall?

Recommended Posts

I think it only hurts him. The election denying stuff only pushes away independents and moderates and Trump's base isn't big enough to win a general election. But my god the reaction and commentary from the talking heads. "This is the end of democracy" "boycott CNN" etc etc. He's the fucking frontrunner for the Republican party. His voice is going to get out no matter if it's on CNN or Fox or independent media. You can't think deplatforming works at that level. And it just makes the MSM look less trustworthy. More democracy includes interviewing people you dislike.

Gee, I wonder why they can't just go along with these amazing and enriching cultural shifts.    You have to believe all women but also believe that men are women. So, believe all men.

I saw the highlights. Made me love Trump again. He's the most straightforward politician on the planet.

The bitch interviewing him was biased and embarrassing.

Hurt him how? Did you hear all of those cheers? The right doesn't care about policy as much as confronting their perceived enemies. He can mock the woman he lost a sexual abuse case to with laughs from these people.

As long as he's the Republican nominee he's getting 47% of the vote automatically.

It was a republican town hall, the audience was his audience alone.

Ramza is a Canadians that considers himself independent ideologically. He's not, but he thinks he is. This is the same for most independent voters.

It does hurt him in a general election.   The only people that loved it are people who already were supporting him no matter what he does.

For everyone else, it pushes them further away.

I mean it been almost 3 years and he still cannot admit that he lost and is still pushing the election lie that Fox just paid 3/4 of a billion for spreading.

The Republican part deserves this, they created this monster.

I saw clips of it. The CNN host really could have asked better questions. But regardless he still managed to make himself look completely incompetent.

The audience asked better questions. She kept wanting to ask about the past, that's pointless when it's the future that matters for a president.

He is literally holding on to the past.

Generally you would want to ask what you would do as president at least at some point during the town hall.

What he would do? Were you under a rock the 4 years he was President?  Or how about the last 2.5 years of him as a past president?

Are you expecting something different from Trump at this point?

Yes, the point is a one view leftist shouldn't be insulting people for being in the middle. Then again I don't live in a country where the Government bodies are separated in a clear distinctive left and right. Here our parties represents all degrees of the political spectrum, some of which are more in the middle.

Seems like calling people independent is an insult to you?

My views are on the left only, I am better than you!

Amazing.

Your point is still stupid, stupid. It's actually independents that make decisions based solely on one thing. That's why so many of the "independents" over the past  7 to 10 years claim their overall views "never changed, but now diversity or being nice to trans people is too much. There is very little the Dems and Republicans have in common that a single issue alone keeps a person supporting a party other another.

I dont think being independent is bad or an insult, just that most people who claim to be independent are dumb, single issue people and most times it's a stupid single issue. They'll like support Bernie Sanders, then someone completely his antithesis like Trump when he's no longer in the race.  They also tend to be the stupid fence sitters that need up to the days before to "make up their minds" about who they are going to vote for, or stupid and impatient and vote counter in midterms basically reversing their previous vote in less time than their previous vote could actually become meaningful.

I believe in consistent and informed voting. For simple minded people, voting all of the place or counter to you best interest actually sounds like a good idea.

You love Biden. :D

Have you ever seen me say I love Biden?  There's no cult over here.

The right is so caught up in the cult of personality with Trump they think both sides do that shit.

You're totally lost in the cult.  Hey at least after denying it for over a year you can admit that you do love and support Trump :kaz:

Somehow you manage to make this about trans. Pretty sure there are independents who are more on the progressive side also.

None of what you are saying really apply to me. I still can't call myself a real conservative. I'm pro choice and believe in some socialist concepts as a Canadian citizen. I'm more of social conservative. I already told you before, remove the woke progressive ideologues and I would call myself a liberal.

At the end of the day there's nothing wrong with being on the right side of certain issues and left on the others. That's a lot better than believing only your side is ever the right choice for everything if you ask me.
