Nobody has ever claimed the auction was malicious. The auction was for charity so LMG wouldn't have seen a cent from it anyway.

 

The issue of malice was concerning the handling of Billet Labs afterwards and what looked like LMG ghosting Billet Labs when they brought up that LMG had wronged them. LMG has an email from the day this all want down asking Billet Labs to send them an invoice, so I think any questions of malice towards Billet Labs can be closed. LMG is just deeply dysfunctional...though I've hit reply instead of reply all to work emails often enough to feel them on that.

LMG released a 20-minute video where they announced they're stopping production for a week to re-tool their pipelines and had every department lead apologizing to the community for their part in the errors. It caps off with Linus almost crying while admitting he let his emotions get the best of him and apologizing to Billet Labs. I think it's a great video and exactly what I want from this controversary: LMG promising to do better (I'm a LTT Floatplane subscriber, I love LTT). But you're kidding yourself if you think LMG "won" this.

THe best outcome for GamerNexus would've been a continued youtube beef with a far more popular channel. More people learning the name GamerNexus.

 

Instead, Linus stops saying their name, and starts talking about himself, and only brings more attention to himself.

 

And if Steve doesn't make as good an apology for his fuckup as Linus did for his........he's been completely outplayed here.

 

Good lesson for him to cut down on the "scandal" investigative "reporting". He's jumping the shark, here.

No, it's not... Linus is being FORCED to stop talking and start acting.

 

LTT called out Steve's testing methodology... which is something no confident tech reviewer would let stand.  If LTT wouldn't have said shit.. there wouldn't have been any drama.  Outside of informing his viewers of LTT's inaccuracies and lack of ethics... he doesn't give one single fuck what Linus says or does.  So no... he's not clout chasing at all... because he could have made this video at any time... but didn't until LTT said some bullshit.

Linus shut his ass up quick when he realized that there's nothing he can say against Steve when it comes to ethics and professionalism.  He shut his ass up quick when all the other shit started coming out and he realized that the only thing he could do was "investigate" and promise to fix issues.

 

And there you have it.  He fucked up, and they called out someone who isn't just going to sit back and take it because LMG is a big company... Steve aired him out and he deserved it.  Steve said his piece, and it's done.

Yes he did.  He went into shutdown mode faster than you shutdown your PS5 after starting it up  

 

Steve got called out by LMG... Steve responded back eviscerating him and his shitty unethical practices... and everyone else piled on.  Not Steves fault all Linus' dirty laundry got aired out.
