User Name 21
i wish it wasn't so easy though. I thought that too but the difficulty majorly spikes during the second half with the special worlds. I beat the first half with 113 lives, and when I left off at Special World 7, I was down to 70-something lives. It's a much bigger second half difficulty spike than in either of the Galaxy games. Guest C.M.
what do you think of Rage? One of the best shooters of the gen TBH. Lots of toys, lengthy, and runs smooth as fuck. It's a shooter fan's game. Plus it has a great artstyle, depth (for an FPS), and an unconventional FPS setup. It's satisfying as hell switching ammo types and gadgets fighting hordes of enemies. Can't really find much to complain about. It's like Borderlands or FO streamlined to just the action. If anything the game drags on a bit. cool. I totally didn't like it lol, wasn't really down with the quest structure. I wanted more of a one direction, linear game like HL2. The artstyle and feeling of the guns was pretty great though. User Name 21
I finished Ocarina finally. I can understand why it's so celebrated, but it's my least favorite of the 3D Zeldas by a fair distance. I still had fun with it though. It's overworld is far more barren and smaller than Twilight Princess', its dungeons are inferior to Twilight Princess' and Skyward Swords', Navi is a non-entity, the lock-on system and camera are messy, and it's the least visually attractive entry by a wide margin. I liked the plot. It was weird playing as a 10-year-old trapped inside a 17-year-old's body considering everything that was happening to Link. And it'd be cool to see a spin-off game with Zelda as the main character that deals with the 7 years where Gannon rose to power and she hide herself as Sheik.
-GD-X★ 7,957
Standards change. Of course the newer ones are more refined. However, back then, Zelda was a one of a kind experience.
Guest Golem
I've been trying to play MGS2HD lately, but seriously, I've lost my touch, I can't choke out people as good as I used to.

I stopped playing TP about 5 hours in but i found its overworld to be quite barren and dull as well. Does the game have any villages like Hyrule Market and Kakariko Village? Everything about that game was so lifeless to me. And yeah, you have to understand just how big of a deal OoT was in 1998. And I think the fact that a 3D game from 1998 holds up enough for you to still have fun with it is a testament to how good that game was. Because PS1/N64 games have aged the worst. Standards change. Of course the newer ones are more refined. However, back then, Zelda was a one of a kind experience. I wish I could go back in time and play it again. It's probably one of the games that turned me into a "gamer".

The first couple hours before the 4th dungeon suck but the game really steps up after that. I finished Ocarina finally. Guest Golem
Saucer can point out 'flaws' in OoT, but the fact is it's a solid game. Plenty of games from that era that were good but now unfortunately close to unplayable because of hang-ups. Not the case with OoT, and that's what timeless games are all about.
