jehurey 3,241
Playing through Crysis 2, hopefully I can finish it up by tonight. I'd like more console shooters to be a little bit more open in design like this game. I like this game, it starts off slow, but it really does pick up a bit better a third of the way through. MNDWSH 2
Lmao, I either finished or am at chapter 3 as well. Battle system is pretty sexy eh. Trying to get the hang of tri-attack. I don't know if you had the same problem as me, but there's an accessory you can buy at the store, auto-trigger, which makes you automatically attack at the end of your turn with as many charges as you have ready. It's a pain to press A/X just in time as it's not always responsive. Kind of annoying you just waste your turn if you miss it.
soup 105
Yah, I've seen it just haven't bought it. I only missed a few times but it's getting more and more tempting I hate triggering it too early or missing it all together. Yeah, I'm still getting the hang of the combat system tri-attacks and shiii, getting way easier though. The radar minimap should've been default.
Guest C.M.
so i realized "quitting" a website is dumb lol. I'm playing through HL2 again and it's honestly better than ever. Feels so fresh to play after 6 years of brainless FPS games.

Feels so fresh to play after 6 years of brainless FPS games. HL2 is so good, fond memories of playing it back in uni. The level design and pacing are so much better than 90% of FPS. Makes zero sense when people hate on games like HL2 and jerk off to halo campaigns, they shouldn't even be compared.
-GD-X★ 7,760
hl 2>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> halo by a mile.
Guest C.M.
The only areas I'd say Halo outdoes Half-Life 2 are combat and vehicle mechanics. The mechanics are better and the AI is way better, leading to more dynamic fights. I'd say music as well but Half-Life 2 isn't try to go for that epic score. It's much more subtle in it's approach. In terms of level design and pacing, I agree with you. In fact I'd say it's better than all FPS that are not part of the HL series lol. It's also the game with better atmosphere, characters, dialogue, scripted events, gameplay variety, pretty much everything lol.
MNDWSH 2
You are definitely right about the AI, but I didn't mind the Source engine back when I played HL2 for vechs and battles. With limited AI there's just less variables and I think that's why halo plays the way it does.
-GD-X★ 7,760
yeah i liked the vech controls in hl2 too. i never had a problem with them. though the ai was kind of bad. oh well, nothing is perfect.
soup 105
I should probably play HL2, Ive played the epsiodes just never cared much about FPS when it came out.
Guest C.M.
That's not to say the AI hurts the game. The enemies are placed in such a way that fighting them is still a ton of fun. Cleotis, I think you should play HL2 just so you can see where that game was at in 2004. It has its parts that drag but overall, it's a game everyone should play. MNDWSH 2
I skipped OB and just got TF2 when it was $10.
soup 105
I got it for like 5, but I wanted to get Portal and HL2 for the sake of having both on my PC and 20 bucks for 5 games is better than 20 bucks for
