Portable hardware has come a long way since the non backlit days of the Gameboy. I think we got 1-2 more gens till everything becomes a portable hybrid. The XBox handheld and probable Sony re entrance into the portable space is proof of this imo.

PS2 was just a PS1 with better specs and it's the best selling console of all time unless Switch outsells it. Sometimes just doing a sequel is more than enough.
