Can you fathom that there are people out there... who don't give a shit about FF7, or Remake, or Rebirth? FF7 is my favorite game of all time... on PS1. I think the Sony from the PS3/PS4 era just doesn't exist anymore. Sony fucked themselves over for a bit when they made a full swing to GaaS and basically now they're stuck for a bit without any big games from their own first party studios. That said, they're doing a decent job of having exclusive content from 3rd parties in the meantime. They're basically just coasting off their previous successes and Xbox tripping all over itself for the first half of the gen.

I haven't been reading many reviews.. trying to keep spoilers to a minimum.. but it sounds like this game's world is more like DS1 and Bloodborne in that it's vertical and twisty, winding back and through on itself.

I think it did, but from what I read someone said that the team that used to keep and maintain it on Xbox have been absorbed into the RE Engine, so there's no longer support for Xbox One consoles nor Series. That's also why there's no "PS5 specific" version and it just runs in PS4 BC mode supposedly since the framework for PS4 and Steam are still there and supported. Basically the Xbox versions sales potential likely wasn't worth it for them to put people on it and add support back again for these MT games, but the Switch was.. so they did it for Switch.
