  1. The game has dull boring environments - The average person So liek, it's amazing how Kojima has captured the essence of being isolated on a desolate alien planet, with no understanding of your environments and whether there are others who inhabit the world as well. You can hear some things making some sounds, but you don't see them. That adds so much to the immersiveness because Kojima forces you to use your mind to conjure up the most devilish insanely grotesque creatures you can imagine. It's completely TERRIFYING. Kojima is masterfully pitting players own fears and em
  2. Yea but you've proven that you don't know what the hell you're talking about. You take PC games running at Ultra and compare them to console games running at a mix of high/med. If you take a 2060 and run with console settings... it's beating current gen consoles.. And it's not secret sauce nonsense... it's a thing called architectural advancements. Ones that upcoming consoles will have. And nah... a $300 GPU easily beats the X. Dynamite's Vega 64 smashes the X... Lmao, dude.. next year a $300 card will take on those consoles... They'll be 30-40% faster than the 20
  3. ^ yea Jon, I think so. Better than local hardware? lol no. Better to the point that it doesn't really matter.. yea.. eventually. One thing people have to remember.. is that Stadia will be built specifically for streaming. It's not a phone connecting over wifi.. it's not a PC or laptop either. It's a machine that will be fine tuned for streaming. Oculus is doing some cool shit with regards to their Oculus Link to connect the Quest to a PC to be used like a Rift. Basically instead of having to wait for an entire frame to be fully scanned
  4. Nah. Nvidia's bringing a brand new architecture and a node shrink to 7nm EUV next year. We're going to be seeing some hefty performance gains for sure. Not to mention, if AMD actually releases stuff close to that time as well, maybe Nvidia will compete a bit on price. Another thing to remember.. is that the 20 series has a lot of hardware features that developers aren't really utilizing yet. The biggest ones being mesh shaders, variable rate shading, and 2xFP16. Devs will be utilizing this stuff in upcoming next gen games. So we'll see 20 series cards perform better relative
  5. We'll be able to test with Scarlett and PC games.
  6. Game developers, especially on the PC, should give users the option to download the quality of assets which matches their system specs.. or works better within their internet restrictions. For example, a person who has a low end card which would likely only use medium or high textures could choose to download a smaller version of of the game and it would only allow you to select that level of quality. Same with audio. Maybe make a bit more compressed audio or video files for people who have limited bandwidth and would like to choose that option. It really could go for
  7. COD is actually 175GB lol... That's why I put the + there.. https://www.dsogaming.com/news/call-of-duty-modern-warfare-official-pc-system-requirements-requires-175gb-of-free-hard-disk-space/ And I really don't know why. There's probably going to be a lot of dialog audio and shit like that. But the thing that gets me about both RDR2 and COD is that the cutscenes are rendered in real-time.. so it's not like there's even high quality videos eating up tons of space. (though there maybe is in COD)
  8. It comes from the fact that they're gonna get some exclusive games which push the bar visually above what's on PC simply because they have the budgets and teams to do so. Has nothing to do with the hardware though. But like I said... those games take some time usually. I'm sure Sony'll have a stunner at, or close to launch... but MS are releasing their games on PC now too, so stunning games will come from them as well which will show off the power of PCs. I'm really curious to see what will be the first game to really make that "next gen" impression. :)
  9. I definitely do think that regardless of what configuration they go with.. they will be highly configurable and flexible. I think as you say, the games will intelligently copy/install what is needed into and ultra fast cache and will load almost instantly. Moving games in and out of this space will happen extremely fast and be handled by the systems seamlessly. I wonder if they'll have a more robust compression method which will reduce sizes even further. I think an expansion bay is a given too. M.2 makes sense.. right underneath the system.
  10. Intel's next CPU is rumored to have a 15-20% IPC increase over current offerings, and really high clocks... and Zen 3 is making some pretty big changes which is gonna boost performance dramatically. On the GPU side the PS5/Scarlett will be around 5700XT levels likely. That shit will get smashed by 2020 and early 2021 NV and AMD gpus.
  11. LMAO.. before the PS5 even launches mid range Nvidia and AMD cards will beat it easily. Not to mention it'll actually take 3 years before these developers get games out which are actually beginning to take advantage of the hardware in a meaningful way. And what is the PS5 Pro going to do? Better resolution? Nah... that's not going to be marketable. Better framerate? Sure... but.. aren't they already going to be targeting 60fps? Oh, wait I know what they'll use... better RT performance! And you know what... that's fine... except they'll be stuck with
  12. Next gen games are probably going to be 200GB+ What size of SSD are you guys expecting the next gen consoles to have?
  13. Probably. Rockstar did a good job with this game on X1X. We'll see though.
  14. It's really not. Most of X1X's games aren't even in native 4K. Overclock the 1060 a tad and you're good to fucking go.
  15. Also, I guarantee you they make a VR mod for the first person mode. That's a given at this point.
  16. Yep. The most amazing thing though will come from the role playing servers. The group who made GTA5's role playing server has said they'll have it ready to go within a month from release. I can already picture the hilarious shit that's gonna happen
  17. It would be hilarious to see them go back on their decision to release their games on PC. I would actually love to see that at this point
  18. Thanks breh. It was a long...winding road.. but we arrived at our destination. We pulled off the ultimate heist. The payoff is immense. I'd like to thank all my supporters over the year.. an event like this only happens once a generation. This cowboy is gonna ride off into the sunset! Rockstar are making no bones about it: "With a host of new additions and a range of technical, graphical and performance enhancements to make Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC the ultimate version of Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang’s open world epic."
