Switch is getting a boost from being a Switch... aka a Hybrid console on another note, there is a possibility that Switch might break the ALL TIME RECORD for November sales
-
Yes as time goes on Switch won't be able to keep up with next gen systems that's quite obvious. But that's not going to happen in 2020 or maybe even 2021......maybe by the end of 2021......and the reason for this is.... the majority of games for the first year will be cross gen games..... once the cross gen games stop Switch will be fucked. But by then a successor should be out by end of 2021 or March 2022.

The generation being over has no bearing in Switch sales you dolt. As NPD says, that's a false assertion.

Digital Foundry- Alien Isolation - Superior image quality on Switch
Goukosan replied to Goukosan's topic in System Wars
You forgot the the other versions have screen tearing.... while the Switch version is triple v-sync'd and on top of that superior AA solution. Let's see what DF (Dark1X) said about the Switch version. it looks much much cleaner in motion than the original PS4/XO version. I think it's great that Feral went the extra mile to do this and more. It's a well optimized game on Switch. It looks and runs much better than Xbox One and is comparable to PS4 (superior in some ways, not in others) It looks and runs better in motion on Switch be -

Digital Foundry- Alien Isolation - Superior image quality on Switch

Alien Isolation on Switch looks better than PlayStation 4 The largest improvement stems from image quality. The Switch version is substantially cleaner in motion. This is due to a reliance on more modern accumulation temporal anti-aliasing. This approach massively reduces in-surface aliasing and edge shimmering to the point where it looks flat out better than the original console release Impressive -

some more context to the win. "More than 100,000 Xbox One machines were sold last week, according to retailers, which is just slightly behind what the console managed during Black Friday 2018. The All-Digital version was the most successful edition of them all. Xbox One very narrowly beat Nintendo Switch by "just a handful of consoles". Nintendo's machine also featured some big discounts during Black Friday, with the new 'Lite' version down to £179.99. Retailers also did some bundling around products such as Nintendo Labo, Mario Kart 8: Deluxe and Pokemon Sword and Shield."

Xbox with the win in the UK ... reminds me when the Dreamcast was dying/dead and had a $99 fire sale and outsold PS2 that month
