Pocket Edition will be split over 10 episodes and has a chance of being ported to the Switch in the place of a Final Fantasy 15 port, which didn't run very well on the Switch because the console couldn't “bring out the most of the engine”. That doesn't mean it wasn't sparked on consoles because of it. The typhoon has nothing to do with games being released digitally today. Games and demos were still released today on Switch.
