It was also a super fun take on the loot grind formula, with The Dark Zone being a fucking thrill of pure risk/reward that most AAA games no one would ever try to pull off. The Dark Zone was a cluster fuck mess, game was real short, incursions were way too difficult sponge trash to even go back to and the gear system is too complex for its own good. Yeah, impressions from the alpha were pretty positive aside from the lack of content that BioWare said was just for testing purposes in the alpha and not indicative of the final game. The original is one of the souless game I've ever played. The worst part were those audio logs giving me closure for events and characters that were hardly introduced and thus I didn't give a damn.
