That thing came out about 6 weeks ago. And the mainline Pokemon games still haven't dropped yet? That's still two weeks away. Those Japan numbers and Switch lite numbers are going to shift into an even higher gear. They haven't made a Mario Kart game exclusively designed for the Switch, yet.
